Our Saints D already has more tackles this year than last year, you clearly don't know shite now.

Really? REALLY? are you just going down swinging or actually that stupid? How many MISSED tackles do we have? When you allow an opposing offense to put together 15-20 play drives regularly, of course there's going to be "more tackles". The point isn't to have the most tackles, dummy.

Kind of difficult for the D when the offense can't get a 1st down for a quarter and a half.

If you really think our #3 ranked offense is the problem...

NVM there's no response to this. If you truly believe what you just said, then you're helpless. I hope you find peace someday in that fricked up thought process of your's.

No idea what you are talking about. Touchdowns don't end with a tackle, clearly when you are low on tackles you are usually giving up "Td's after Td's". When Drew has a 4 play drive that ends with Joe Horny Morgan in the zone, the D doesn't get credit with tackles. We are loaded with tackles cause all we are a stopping machine. When the team gets inside of our 5 yard line, we still racking up the tackles and stops. Pretty incredible D. If you aren't a fan of the bend bend then don't break D, that's your shitty prerogative.

When the defense is allowing TD after TD it puts A LITTLE bit of pressure on Drew and the offense to produce. Can't set the tone with the rushing game = More passes = greater chance for incompletions = lower passer %

Williams built the defense to pressure the QB. They sucked at that last year, so they gave up a lot of big plays.

Spags does not run his D that way. Its like taking a souped up Corvette and asking it to tow a travel trailer. It aint gonna just go "poof" and happen.

You know what I've noticed out of our D in the last few weeks? More turnovers. Thats guys starting to get it. Theres been a lot more gang tackling as well. Thats guys starting to get it.

We still have too many missed tackles, but that can be remedied in the offseason. Smith and Ellis have to know their times are up. Jenkins has to realize hes getting outplayed by his backup. You are going to have so very healthy competition going in to next season, which will be very good for that defense.

What I see is a defense that needs another offseason to get the system. I see it needing a quality pass rusher opposite Cam Jordan. I see it needing another quality OLB. I see a little competition needed in the secondary brought by Quddus and White. I really think you'll be very pleasantly surprised by what this defense will do next year.

Most of the playoff teams are on the bottom of the giveaway list, we are near the top of giveaway list.

I hope you're right. Truly. I don't care how they do it, I just hope they do. Thanks for being the first person to offer some logical prospective. I'm just not sure I see enough consistency with he improvement this year to feel comfortable moving forward with Spags.

I know that William's game was to bring pressure, and this guy's is the opposite. And that we don't have the personnel in the secondary to play that style of ball. But the Saints have already set new NFL precedents of Horrible this year on D. 7 straight games with 400 yards?? I've heard of rebuilding, but come on.

Turnovers easily are the 2 game difference maker this year. Between Saints Playoff and Saints No Playoffs.

I mean, I feel like this is such a waste of time. But here it goes anyway. Are we even watching the same games? Are you really sticking up for our Defensive, or just choosing a side of opposition for the sake of arguing? Yea we get some stops in the redzone, but we also give up the most yards per play of any team out there. Clearly, we're not "racking up stops"

I'm so fricking Glad yards don't dictate outcome of games cause we clearly would have lost the Super Bowl having been outgained by a 100 yards total offensively.

when drew brees is throwing pick 6's and forcing the ball into triple coverage, when the team has its head coach suspended a year, when you have an interim to the interim head coach, when you are breaking in an entire new D scheme, when you have the NFL fricking you at every turn, and you are technically still not eliminated from the playoffs and your D just had the first shut out in 15 years, yeah you're right, FIRE EVERYONE

Did you consider the fact that Ryan runs a 3-4 a 3-3-5 and a 1-3-7 def and we don't have near the personel to do that before you posted?

Not as much as our interceptions, turnovers, lack of offensive efficiency from what we expect, dropped passes, creative offensive scheming and play calling, and just overall scoring fricking points. This team wasn't built to win 20-16 type fricking games. We're built to win 38-31.

I have absolutely zero problems with spags. The defense improved tremendously over the course of the year, but our offense let us down

crazy how much our D changed when our linebackers and corners got a little healthier
