He was almost a 70% passer in college.
completion percentage says nothing about the fact that he wasn't throwing to the designed player that was open, he just "created" a busted play by not being a pocket QB and then "found an open guy" to salvage a situation he unnecessarily created.
no one is saying he didn't make things happen in college, but evidence is clear he wasn't able to run the plays as they were designed to be run and do what he should have done, which was not leave the pocket until you go through all your progression reads first.

I think him being a locker room distraction is really the only reason to not bring him in during training camp. IMO his throwing ability is not far off from where Cam Newton was when he entered the League, but Manziel is much more mobile. If he could learn to scramble in the pocket in Paytons offense, y'all wouldn't skip a beat once Brees retires.
I don't want to see the Saints with a NFL caliber Manziel, but love to see exciting players who can make the highlight reel every week.

He's still not mature enough to own up to things which makes me question his new-found maturity.
For example, remember when it was rumored that he wanted cash for selfies at the Super Bowl and then he went on twitter and denied it?
Guess what:

Johnny Manziel arrives at Stadium Signatures in Katy Mills Mall. According to https://cravethrauto.com fees include $99 any item, selfies $50

But Cam is 6 inches taller and 70 lbs heavier with a stronger arm.

Cam is a frickin giant though and uses his size to scramble and run. And is more accurate. I agree an NFL caliber Manziel is deadly. I watched Vick. But Johnny ain't that.

Because he didn't get paid for each one, an agency did. That whole story was blown completely out of proportion.

This is honestly rap throwing shite at the wall
CSP meeting jff during the Superbowl week at breakfast doesn't equal interest in signing.

Manziel in New Orleans is a disaster waiting to happen. He couldn't even behave in Cleveland.

Love March reports of coaches running into former QB's around Christmas last year.

I think once everyone realizes regardless of what happens he isn't seeing playing time this year here, everyone will calm down.
I wouldn't mind seeing him in a preseason game.

If he can't figure it out under SP and DB, it's over for him. I think he knows this would be his last chance. Think it's worth the risk.

Only NY LA Miami & LV would be worst temptation for him than NOLA
