This might be a little extreme, but I don't want the guy to even step foot in our locker room. He's pretty much the love child of Side Show Bob & Krusty the Clown.

He is 38 and sooner or later you have to bring in someone to take over for the eventuality of Drew's retirement.

From a pure talent perspective, Manziel, Mahomes or Dobbs would make sense. Temperment and maturity would have to go to Dobbs. Manziel has a ton of upside if he could control himself and be John Manziel instead of Johnny Football. Some of the things he could do on a field were pretty spectacular

Maye Cleveland was not the right place for him with the revolving coaches and "mentor" QB's... Maybe he needs an offensive mind like Payton and a real adult like Brees teaching him

If teams are going to consider giving Manziel (drug addict, alcoholic, woman abuser, egomaniac) another chance then there's no excuse not to give Kaepernick a chance. Only crime he committed was voicing his opinion in an unpopular manner.

Most people are going to hold far, far more animosity to a perceived "unpatriotic" move and deeply political one, than they would to someone with alcohol/drug abuse issues.

That's just the way it is.

Why does Sean Payton have this obsession with QBs from Texas?

except for even when Manziel is buried in the depth chart, he gets massive amounts of TV coverage. I personally don't want the Saints to have that sort of spotlight.

The kid is a fricking drug addict; keep him as far away as possible.

If Johnny is serious, and has a clear head, and is willing to put his time into film study and getting into shape, I say give him a chance.

If he is not committed 100 percent for the team, then cut bait. Other teams will see the commitment or lack thereof, and Johnny will no longer serve the NFL in any capacity.

sign Manziel
sign Josh Gordon
sign Justin Blackmon
draft Rueben Foster
draft Joe Mixon

let's start winning some games and drop the bullshite PC act that has made us a losing franchise

please explain how signing Manziel is going to make the Saints better? He's not only a headcase, but he also just isn't an NFL QB.

Well for one, he won't see the field so he can't make them any worse.

If this happens, in my mind this pretty much guarantees the Saints being the next team on Hard Knocks.

Even if he reforms to as straightlaced as Tebow he's still a underweight midget who thrives on improvisation that he probably can't get away with in the NFL.

Last thing this team needs in a critical year is a circus/distraction and that's all this would ever be unfortunately.
