While Obama looks at expensive porn in his ivory tower on his gold plated computer, this guy is working the shift.

Football is dangerous. Players from your childhood are killing themselves and experiencing elevated likelihood of getting dementia or other similar illnesses. The facts verify this. Look at what they discovered in Junior Seau's brain.

Oh, but now Obama says it and he's a big pussy and it's all part of this big plan to turn America into a socialist country.

Obama could say that child molesters are evil and you would probably have a problem with that.

You know most of the guys in the league right now are completely aware of the dangers, right? We're not in 1964 anymore.

These guys know the risks and still choose to do it for the money/fame/whatever reason they have. Making the game safer is fine, but the way it looks right now, the NFL will be two hand touch by 2030.

The fact that
quote:

Obama says it
has nothing to do with the fact that
quote:

he's a big pussy and it's all part of this big plan to turn America into a socialist country.
.

These two things are mutually exclusive.

I do want to thank you for informing me that the Supreme Leader Next to God in a lead researcher in the field of long term effects of playing football on the human brain. I was completely unaware of this.

BTW everyone knows that football is dangerous......no one is holding a gun to their heads forcing them to play and yet they continue. That's the head scratcher right there.

Actually, there is NO CONCLUSIVE evidence confirming this.

Blaming football for Junior Seau's suicide is a quick answer to a complicated question.

Your right FOOTBALL is dangerous LSUTIGER 1992. However I see your a fan and I will pose this question to you. How many men do you think would sign a waiver to never sue to play in the NFL for a multi-year million dollar contract? My answer is more than the NFL could ever handle

How many players right now are unaware of this little nugget?

Junior Seau thought it was healthy to dive headfirst into large moving objects. . .repeatedly?

uuuuh....what? there are a number of studies out there that link the two. one yahoo writer's opinion doesn't undo years and years of study.

football players die earlier than the average human...that's just a fact.

solution: dont play

another example of how this clown feels about personal accountability.

nobody forces college football players to play.

maybe he should worry about the economy.

So what proof is there to definitively say that Seau didn't have clinical depression. Did anybody study his brain before he played football? Maybe he suffered with this all his life. You know it is possible to be depressed without playing football

To saints talk folk: Sorry for 3 consecutive posts but this thread is littered with all kind of stupid.

Football = dangerous
Baseball = dangerous
Trampolines = dangerous
Skiing = dangerous
Dodgeball = dangerous
Rugby = dangerous
Hockey = dangerous

I could go on.

How about we just sit home and not do a thing and turn into giant pussies.

Life is dangerous. Risk is part of life. If people choose to take that risk, and it doesnt affect you, then stay the frick out of their business.
