It's been so fun watching our secondary chasing the receivers and never making a play on the ball.

That's a league-wide epidemic actually. It's a lot easier to say then to do,

I am pretty sure everyone knew you were joking, at least I hope so.
SBJ hasn't been THAT bad anyway. He will be fine. He is in a great position to succeed in NOLA. He just has to get past the learning curve and develop some consistency.

Maybe because they let defenders get away with too much holding and illegal contact the last few years they actually forgot how to play good technique and took the easy way out.

He's stride for stride with the receivers thus far.
I think he'll be fine when he gets past that hump most rookies and second year players face. We'll ultimately see how he pans out in a few years.

Yeah I'm not expecting much from him this year. I think he'll be a game day inactive most of the time as the 5th corner. But I'd like him to at least show he's capable enough to play nickel should he be needed.
With most of these rookies you have the good and the bad. His PFF scores haven't been terrible(though he has given up 6 out of 8 passes for 67 yards, 9 yac, and a TD with only one pass defense; 139.1 QB rating against him).
I'm more than willing to be patient, but I'd love to see something making him worthy of being a 2nd rounder.

How are the other corners doing like Verrett, Fuller?
Curious because seems like we are already writing off SJB as a non-contributor this year which is rather disappointing. Especially when we could have grabbed Verrett + Landry + a third rounder.
With that being said, all indications are pointing towards Cooks being a pro bowl type WR1. Landry has been getting rave reviews but I think his ceiling isn't at a pro bowl level. Time will tell.

I'm pretty sure he was labeled as a project prior to the draft. High upside but low floor. He hasn't played corner for very long. He has a lot to learn.. So it was pretty apparent going in that he wouldn't see much PT this season.

I see Brees has one of his kids running around in a Jimmy Graham jersey. I'm sure Jimmy is a pro and that he gets it's all business and I'm 95% sure he doesn't have any hard feelings over the TE designation and ensuing negotiation, but if he does... smart subtle leadership move by Brees. "I respect you so much, I put your jersey on my kid."
