I'll give you a list of players that should be drafted before teh 27th pick. After this list, it'll leave a grouping of players that you will just need to make your top 8 and boom, you'll have your selection barring who falls all the way to 27.

Gone in no particular order:
3 qb's
Greg Robinson
Khalil Mack
Sammy Watkins
Mike Evans
Jadeveon Clowney
Anthony Barr
Jake Matthews
Taylor Lewan
Zack Martin
Ha Ha Dix
Calvin Pryor
Aaron Donald
Timmy Jernigan
Ebron
Justin Gilbert
Daqueze Dennard

Those who may be available to rank your top 8:
Kony Ealy
CJ Mosley
Brandin Cooks
Jason Verrett
Dee Ford
Marqise Lee
Louis Nix
Rasheed Hageman
Kyle Fuller
Ryan Shazier
Odell Beckham
Xavier Su'a Filo

yes i kept tabs on everything. I think my presentation in this thread is pretty solid as well only needing to rank a top 8. Do you concur with my list of players who most likely 99% will be gone by pick 27?

glad to have your poetry back Chad

from our first effort that Top 8 was-

Bortles
Clowney
Robinson
Matthews
Watkins
Mack
Gilbert
Evans

Unless a high valued player at a position of not great need is available (Mosley, Ebron, etc) then I think the Saints Talk draft day will come down to choosing between a WR like Beckham, Lee, Cooks, OR CB Fuller, Verrett, or Roby. I fall towards thinking CB. That is based on what you will have available in the 2nd. Choose a WR at #27 and ya might have to wait to #91 get a CB value/fit. Take a CB at #27 and there will likely be a quality WR in the 2nd that in many years might be 1st Rders. Like Jordan Matthews, Allen Robinson, or Davante Adams.

Wait so you really think OBJ is better than Cooks?

If we go WR in the 1st, I'd rather Benjamin, Robinson or Matthews than the smaller Cooks or Beckham. Personally I hope we wait until the 2nd and see if Matthews or another is there. So my top 8?

Mosley (we need a great ILB desperately)
Fuller (still need CB)
Ealy (Not a need, but would fit perfectly in the 3-4/4-3 changeups we do)
Nix
Verrett
Roby
Benjamin
Ford

Really, I am happy with whomever they pick. I trust that they are doing the right thing in the FO, so I am going into this cheering the pick regardless.

Yes. That's my opinion and why he's #1 in my list.

Yeah, I don't understand how this guy went from being a late 1st to now a 2nd-3rd Rd pick in some people's rankings. Only reason I didn't put him in my top 8 is due to the potential of him being there in the 2nd (which I doubt will happen). I really like him a lot from what I've read

most years Matthews would probably be projected higher but with so many prospects at WR this year I guess that's why he isn't quite as high?
