I'd be more worried if they weren't getting into it after the 1st 2 games. Change that shite back to last year's scheme

Its generally what Saints fans do. They can't handle their frustration, so they say idiotic things. I even heard "It's got to be SP is on the hot seat right?"

eta: not to oversimplify and not give some elaborate x's and o's explanation, but I think the defense bought into its own hype. I find we've looked flat defensively. It's almost like they thought it would just happen. My guess is that especially after this weeks loss to Cleveland, we see much more impassioned and improved defense. Of course, then people will say home field advantage blah blah blah

Well, if there's one thing that can wake them up it's the home crowd. But that won't help Patrick Robinson not be the worst CB in the NFL on Sunday. I will say this about Robinson, though...he was a really big part of what was wrong on Sunday, but he did defend a few passes and almost had an INT. Let's not forget the good in dismay of the bad. That doesn't count that he's just flat out terrible.

As for the overall defense, I see the lack of pressure being the biggest problem. I think pressure will make the CB's look good. Even when the Saints got a little push on Hoyer, though, he still managed to dump it off or complete a pass. I can't say he was just sitting back there all day with no pressure, but there was no consistent threat.

We're generating a lot of pressure.

The problem is that the DTs are shitting the bed.

We had 9 hurries, hit him 6x, and had 3 batted balls. We def got to him and it impacted his game.

Cam Jordan is the truth. The problem is that Hicks and Bunkley have been shite

Can we please re-word this to say Payton called a play with an empty-backfield set, then Armstead whiffed like a pussy on Kruger, who pressured Brees into throwing an inaccurate pass to Jimmy, who missed that pass which led to the pick six

This. Same can be said for Matt Ryan. We were actually all around the cat all day, but he made plays...whether scrambling out of pressure and/or completing tough passes. I agree with you though, PRob is poo. It seems he gets caught looking at the qb and not who he's covering. He's always late on reacting to the receivers break. But yea, pressure up front would help a great deal. I still think we'll be fine. Now, if we get manhandled and yardage rolled up on us this weekend, I'll be worried.

I think I know what you're trying to say, but can you try again for clarity's sake?

It isn't just defense fellow fans! It's easy to blame them, and yes they have A LOT of flaws....but the offense has not helped either.......

JMHO!!!

I would say that maybe the offensive line has had a little trouble so far, but other than that they've been running the ball very effectively. The one thing I can look at that the Saints haven't done so far this year is get a deep ball threat. I thought that was going to be Cooks.

the offense has made some crucial mistakes and struggled early in Cleveland...but they're gonna be just fine.

#6 in the NFL in passing and #5 in rushing (#3 overall) so far...shore up the pass blocking, and the O will be a lot better than last year...it's never gonna run perfectly smoothly on the road, but need to find a way to minimize the damage.

Defense improved drastically from week 1 to week 2...get Bush on the field and P Rob off it, continue the sure tackling, keep working to improve, and get the DTs to show up, and this team is still/will be a contender

great run blocking...what they emphasized this offseason...need to tune up the pass blocking.

It will happen...will come from improvement in pass blocking and playing in the Dome.

also, Browns played a lot of DBs, and have a very talented secondary
