Meh I still disagree, obviously there are a lot of caveats and angles to what I'm trying to say. You have to judge early years relative to early years and so on. Expectations come into play aswell... like strief followed the expected path for a good 7th round pick. The eye test is king.

I don't remember ever thinking man team made a big mistake drafting with Jimmy or Peyton. Admittedly, I don't know much about Drew's career in san diego other than he didn't start out the gates and he got hurt but his stats don't look like complete bust to me.

I have no idea the situation around Favre in ATL, maybe you're right, I was 4

Joe horn is a valid for sure.

I'll play the %'s

That explains a lot actually.
It definitely explains why you don't remember Peyton sucking either, you were 10.

He sucked his first 3 years and they drafted another QB 1st over all (Eli Manning). Then he started turning it around. They didn't re-sign him and he got hurt in the last game of the season.

the eye test. LOL

The eye test would have said RG3 > Luck halfway through their rookie season because realistically, it was at that point.

If you ignore philosophies about what style of QB works in the nfl.

Isn't that what he means by a "eye test"?

He's awful and Sean Payton is a bottom 10 Hc and a bottom 10 play caller

None you've named played OL. You can either block or you can't. You are either athletic enough for OL or you are not and he clearly has not earned the 13th pick. I mean how bad are you that you can not beat out Strief??

WHEN WILL PEOPLE STOP SAYING THIS bullshite?!?!?!

Peat suck a hot diarrhea fart at guard. So many of yal are so clueless and just think you can put any mediocre tackle at guard and he'll be a stud. Guard isn't the minor leagues of tackle where you just send struggling tackles there to dominate.

They're completely different positions, and Peat sucks hard at guard. His only future is RT.

The Saints should have picked Lael Collins in about the fourth round; this was a stupid mistake. I still have faith in Peat as a guard. He has to work on his technique.

Too bad the Collins camp(his own agent) said and I quote..."If you draft him after the second round we won't sign".

Duh yuh!

I'm not arguing that it's exclusive. Yes eye test is not king if you then ignore everything else as well..

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it Phillip Rivers?

I remember a certain LT of ours...what was it? Armstead? He started out REALLY REALLY bad as well.

The eye test would have said, dude sucked arse because frankly he got his shite pushed into him.

now the excuse is, "well yeah he was a 3rd rounder!" blah blahh blah
