Ken Burrough's name should also be mentioned in the same sentence with Erxleban, Knight, and Sullivan
Burrough - WR , was drafted 10th overall in 1970. Played in 12 games with 13 receptions. Due to a turf toe injury, he was in HC JD Roberts' doghouse and traded after 1 year to HOU where he was a 2 time Pro Bowler

Maybe the Saints 2 worst first round moves were trading the picks and getting totally ripped off. They once traded the 2nd overall pick in the draft to the Colts for Billy Newsome, a mediocre DE. The Colts picked Bert Jones out of LSU. The also traded the first overall pick for Gary Quazzo (sp) to the Colts who drafted Bubba Smith, now in the Hall of Fame. Quazzo never started for the Saints.

Cuozzo wound up starting for Minnesota before they got Tarkenton back from the Giants. I think he did start some for the Saints, though not much.
