@MikeTriplett: Worth noting that #Saints CB Patrick Robinson worked with 1s ahead of Bailey, White. Don't count Robinson out. Payton spoke highly of him.

1st round pick.

Played one year on the shittiest TEAM defense in the history of the NFL with no head coach.... and then missed an entire year with injury.

Plenty of potential there.

I'm so stoked we got Robinson to mentor White and Bailey.

I just look forward to using 'PRob' more in my post again.
Makes me feel days younger.

Robinson (or Bailey) is pretty much the X factor of our defense. If one of them can step up and win that #2 CB spot, and not given to by default, we'll be so stacked on D.

I've stayed positive about Robinson. Drafted to be a man corner. Struggles when we shift to a zone D with no pass rush. Back to man and our D brings plenty of heat. It's like his best case scenario. I feel good with a Lewis, PRob, Bailey, SJB, & White. Great depth and plenty of size/speed/skill.

Should be noted.

I'm not sold on him yet, but he certainly isn't a bad player. Spag's scheme in 2012 will cloud a lot of fans judgement, understandably so. That entire defense looked awful. Even if he is a decent corner that's a good thing. He won't be asked to do too much, especially having Lewis, Byrd and Vaccaro back there as well. Someone; Bailey, Robinson or White will step up.

Looking at it from a depth perceptive, we are in great shape.

Byrd/Vaccaro/Bush
Lewis/Bailey/Robinson/White/Jean-Baptiste*

So, so much potential with this group.

One of the more annoying things about our society is how short peoples' memory has become.

Serious question - if everyone stays healthy (including Bailey), is this the best secondary the Saints have ever had? When I was a kid, the Saints always had a terrible secondary. There were some really good players on the SB team, but is this one better/deeper?

The potential is there to have the best saints secondary ever. I think it will be but anything can happen. So much talent mixed with young and old, too. I like the mixture.
