No way we should give up any picks for that dude and his contract.

Branden Albert Salary is 9.38M for 2013 then he is a unrestricted free agent. I guess we would have to make sure he signs an extension in order for the trade to happen. Wishful thinking.

The Chefs franchised him earlier today, don't know if that contract would have to be honored by a trading team.

Bryant McKinnie says Ravens are trying to keep him

quote:

Most of the headlines the Ravens have made in the last two weeks have been about losing players who started for them in the Super Bowl. But one free agent who started for Baltimore in the Super Bowl may be coming back in the fold.

Bryant McKinnie, a backup in the regular season who emerged as the starting left tackle and played well in the postseason, told CSNBaltimore.com that Ravens head coach John Harbaugh and another assistant coach both called him today and told him the Ravens want him back.

McKinnie added, however, that the Ravens wanting him back doesn’t mean he expects to be back. McKinnie said at the outset of free agency that he wouldn’t take a discount to stay in Baltimore, especially after the team strong-armed him into taking a pay cut last year.

Don't let Blueslover see this.

As time goes on I keep thinking that at some point we will be able to sign a guy for a bargain basement price. A lot of high production guys getting low balled around the league it seems.

Plan A is Nnamdi, Butler, then draft of course.

As long as they don't resign Ronde Barber, I'm cool.

Don't see us landing him unless Nnamdi/Butler falls through.

It's all at Elvis Dumervil's feet right now...

If he wants back in Denver, he comes back. If he chooses to go elsewhere, most likely Baltimore, then the deals will be sent out to Dwight Freeney and John Abraham. Keep in mind, Dwight Freeney and Elvis Dumervil have the same agent.

Also, the Broncos and Ravens have both offered deals to Elvis Dumervil. Not sure on specifics, but the one the Broncos sent was 1st year heavy in terms of money (more than the Ravens offered), and kind of weak in the 2nd year (assuming it's less than the Ravens offered). I really have no idea where he's leaning right now because we don't know the numbers being thrown around.

Rotoworld reported that the Bucs are willing to trade a 1st and 2nd round pick for Revis and pay him $15 million a year. Good lord that's a chuck of change for one corner!
