He seriously has to have a real bad year to get fired. 7-9 won't do it.
I hope not, don't see getting one any better, huge risk.

Honestly, who cares what a coach makes. It's not my money and has no cap impact. Sean can make 100 million annually and i would not blink an eye at it.

I meant 7-9 won't get him fired when I said it won't do it.
He has to have like a 4 or less win season without major injuries to get fired. He's one of the safest coaches in the league.

It's not about that I could care less about that too but I would think ownership would want results if you have the top salary in the league.

But like I said their salaries are guaranteed. They won't fire him because he makes so much is basically the point. They'd rather just ride him out than pay another coach AND Payton.

This is the year since they DID gut all the other damn assholes coaches that needed to go.
I just don't feel rebuild anymore with a solid draft last few years and free agent acquisitions that have panned out.

I see right through your shite post:

Where'd you even find that website?

Was not even trolling but I can see how it looks that way.
Was reading about joint camp with the charges and was looking something up and it popped up in search.
Thought about last year and the rumors of trading CSP and thought here we go again.

I'm becoming convinced they won't change head coaches until Benson dies.

I'd kind of like to see Payton have a run with a franchise that's trying to win a SB. Some of the Saints problems are his fault, but there is no way the front office has given him the talent a coach needs. A big part of that is that Drew Brees is sucking up so much of the money pool.
Posted on 6/9/17 at 11:21 pm to t00f
This is a year where he can be let go. Too many drafts with no outcome.
Posted on 6/9/17 at 11:38 pm to t00f
If they fire Payton then Brees is good as gone too. Probably why his contract ends this year in case Payton gets the ax.
Posted on 6/9/17 at 11:40 pm to airfernando
You're absolutely incorrect. Brees is not the problem. Without him you don't have a team and would be lucky to win 1-2 games a year with paper bags on your head. How about target the REAL problem? You wouldn't be crying about his salary if this team could draft worth a frick because you'd have a lot of young talent on cheap contracts. That's the real problem: We suck at drafting.
If it was my decision I'd clean house on the front office starting with Loomis. I think that guy should've been fired years ago. He was shite in the Haslett era and he's still shite. We got lucky with a draft and a magical season. If our past few drafts don't mold out to anything I'd love to see the excuses then on who gets the ax. They cleaned out the scouting as an excuse on the draft Loomis and crew only have so many scapegoats they can go to before they're backed into a corner.

Sean Payton likes taking molly?

What kind of clickbait bullshite is this?

I've read parts of ProFootball Weekly's 2017 preview and they aren't that high on the Saints.
out of 32 teams they have the Saints at #22 in the preseason power rankings.
they leave a comment to the right hand side for each team.
For the Saints: Can't wait to see what they do with Peterson.
the Saints team breakdown is pretty good because now they are using team beat writers for it. Maybe they've always done it that way but I noticed Joel Erickson's name as the author. Magazines are dead meat now cause of the internet but I still buy them to read on lunch breaks and stuff like that. Bought a USA Today off season forecast and they had the Saints at #22 also.
whatever.

He hasn’t won more than seven games in a season since 2013 and he can’t hire a good defensive coordinator. He still is living off the Super Bowl he won in 2010,
Pretty much the truth.

Pretty much BS, Stretching a story for clicks.
Fact, If The Saints don't make the playoffs or worse yet finish 7-9 or 8-8 CSP should get the axe, but I'm not convinced it will happen. As quoted above, he did bring the only SB trophy to New Orleans so....
