Medical rechecks on Jaylon Smith/Myles Jack not positive

The Philadelphia Daily News' Les Bowen was told by an NFL source UCLA LB Myles Jack's knee is "a time bomb."
Jack's medical recheck did not go well, with CBS Sports' Dane Brugler reporting several teams had "long-term question marks." This is lying season, however, and it is possible teams are leaking bad information about Jack's knee in order to push him down the draft board. A top-five talent, it is anyone's guess where Jack ends up, but it would still be a shock if he slipped out of the top 15.
The Philadelphia Daily News' Les Bowen reports Notre Dame LB Jaylon Smith's (ACL, LCL) medical recheck revealed he is still dealing with a "drop-foot problem."
Foot drop is the inability to lift the front part of the foot, causing the toes to drag along the ground while walking. The issue suggests Smith is still dealing with nerve damage after tearing his ACL and LCL in the Fiesta Bowl. Already not expected to play in 2016, the problem at the very least casts doubt on Smith's ability to make a full recovery. It would be surprising if he came off the board in the first round.
If information is accurate and not a mere smokescreen...Smith should undoubtedly be 100% removed from draft consideration no matter the round.
As for Myles Jack...I can not see how we can consider him at 12 anymore either. This news could force 2 Top 10 draft prospects down the board.

I don't buy much of the Myles jack crap. There at 12, not thinking twice.

I don't doubt that there is serious concern about Smith, but in regards to Jack, I'm going with this:

Same here. We aren't privy to the medical info, but I have severe doubts about the Jack stuff. My gut tells me that's misinformation with a very small amount of truth to it.
I wouldn't draft Jaylon Smith unless its very late. Lots of info about him from multiple places says its bad.

Wrong. His talent level is worth every bit of risk with a draft pick from 3-7, maybe even 2. Yes nerve damage can be permanent, but often times it can be misdiagnosed. If he wasn't a superstar player, then I would be on board the not worth drafting train.

This I agree with a bit more. Again that's only if these reports are 100% true.

i love Jack but if he falls to 12 it will be because 9-10 teams were scared off by his medicals.

That sucks for Smith. Years and years of hard work and blood, sweat, and tears only to have a horrible injury in a meaningless bowl game before the draft. What bad luck. Regardless of what team he goes to, I hope that he at least gets one nice payday out of the situation.

I don't see Jack falling to 12, but if he did, I'd take him without any real hesitation.
Smith on the other hand, I wouldn't take until the 5th or 6th round and that's only if there was no one else I really liked on the board. That's a bad injury.

I always liked that quote...not a fan of Sean's interpretation of it recently.

he has a nice insurance policy from what i heard ($5mil i want to say?). Should make out fine in that regard but im sure he'd rather be playing at a high level

y'all are nuts. We can't afford another draft dud. This isnt a video game, dawg
If yall are willing to risk the injury then are you prepared to risk Spence's "off the field history"?

If we can find someone that wants a QB real bad if Lynch is there @ 12th overall, then we can move down, grab an extra 2nd day pick and use that to take Jaylon Smith. Someone in the compensatory picks will take him in the 3rd round anyways. Probably.

Even with an additional pick from trading back you would be passing over players that could make solid year 1 contributions and be potential year 1 starters for a player who may never play again.
The following players will be available at some point in rounds 1-3 near our selections
DE - Lawson, Dodd, Spence, Ogbah, Frackrell
DT - Rankins, Butler, Billings, Robinson, Jones, Nkemdiche
OG - Whitehair, Westerman, Garnett, Alexander, McGovern
WR - Boyd, Doctson, Treadwell, Lawler
If you work the draft correctly we can address all 4 positions.
random trade scenario
trade back and draft DT Butler/Billings/or Robinson and receive a good 3rd.
original 2nd could be used on best/last man standing Dodd/Ogbah/or Spence(6 DE's drafted before our 2nd is possible but a bit unlikely IMO)
However if they were all gone you can draft best WR on the board between Boyd/Doctson/Treadwell
original 3rd Westerman/Garnett/or Alexander
New 3rd on Lawler/Fackrell depending on 2nd round outcome
