Randy Gregory, Amari Cooper, Brandon Scherff
or
BUST
Land any one of these players and our draft is an instant WIN.

Dupree is a talented player and will do well in the NFL. Put him in the right scheme with a good coach and he will develop into a good pass rusher.

I'd be shocked if that becomes true. Too big. Too aggressive. Too strong. If he goes to a 3-4 defense team, he'll fill the gaps and demand double teams 99% of the time. Maybe the safest bet in the draft.

Bear with me.
Our linebacker corps are as follows: Parys Harlson; Elbre; Hawthrone; Jr Galetee...with unproven backups. Right off the bat, I can see we lack athleticism and speed at that position. Alvin Dupree is one of the most athletic OLBs in the draft, he also has that "elite" first step quickness off the line. Having him on the field will definitely make our defense worlds better. Suddenly we have a OLB who can drop in coverage, or set the edge, or come in as a DE. That will cause nightmares for QBs.
Rob Ryan loves to mix defense up with 4-3 and 3-4 alignments. It only makes sense to draft an OLB who can play OLB and DE like Alvin Dupree. He has the experience to back up his ability to do those. At Kentucky, a SEC school. I really believe Rob Ryan will use Dupree properly and showcase his ability of being a force on the defense.
We have playmakers at Secondary, we have playmakers at DE. It only makes sense to add a legitimate playmaker in Dupree.
