Loudest game I've been to since the NFC Championship game. It peaked at 122.3 on my decibel reader and was constantly in the 106-110 range for a good part of the game.

Wtf. They need to show him more than that. There isn't a person except maybe Drew who could get the dome fired up more than Payton.

The play we thought it might be a safety, I wrote on FB that this was one of the top 5 loudest moments I've ever experienced in the dome. It was absolutely deafening. Pure emotion.

No. While it won't be that loud for a Bills or Dolphins game, that's about the average loudness for a dramatic, big game in the Superdome. There have been many louder games, especially back when the Saints weren't so clearly a great team.

The Philly playoff game might have been the loudest over the entirety of a whole game. And, nothing touches the Gleason punt block. I couldn't hear myself scream it was so loud.

The Superdome is louder than Tiger Stadium, no doubt.

That was the loudest since the playoff games in 2009 for sure. My hand is bruised from banging on this metal wall we had in 620.

I love my section, all the way at the last row of the dome.

There was a 2 minute TV timeout and we didn't stop the entire time.

I was surprised but no one around me knew about the man with the orange gloves. When he is on the field it's a TV timeout. I was telling the screaming girl next to me to save her voice. She goes hoarse after every game for the last eight years I've sat by them.

On the 49ers last drive, I've never been at a stadium where it was that loud for that long. It was incredible

I think the time of the game helped with "preparing" the fans for the game.

this it's like the "goldilocks" time for a game. Noon is a little too early because you are at the dome drinking for 10 or earlier and most in the city seem to go out on Saturdays. So you get a lot of people who are slow to get going. At night games (especially Sunday) you have a lot of people who spend the entire day around the dome and are drunk and dragging by the time the game starts.
But a mid day game is perfect. Plenty of time to get up late, tailgate or pre-game then enjoy the game. I wish we played more 3:25 games.

Also as far as good crowds. As a general rule, people who pay more than $250 (face per game) don't like to stand up ever at games. So when you see the club section and the bunker clubs and the people in the boxes on their feet, you know the crows is hyped up.

yeah that was amazing, because people were keeping the noise up even during the timeout.

The crowd was definitely a factor.

it was loud as frick, but the 3rdQ was very flat. After a few things didnt go our way, our fans gave up pretty quick. So there is a black mark there

Vikings NFCCG was definitely louder than Eagles playoff game and was so for the entire duration of the game.

They posted decibel on the Dome TV's. I saw it hit 115 in during the timeout.

115 Decibels defined "Deafening - thunder, diesel engine room, fireworks display...Superdome" #WhoDatNation

ETA: I see that I undersold it. 122.3

I like them too, but from a noise/energy level standpoint, 3 pm is perfect.

Nothing like home field advantage in our playoff atmosphere though.

Vikings game was awesome

Troy and Joe are godawful. I really wish we could just listen to synched up radio calls with our TV.

Aikman really doesn't like the Saints much. Never has, never will. That is why I can't believe they keep assigning him to NO games. Maybe because it's close to Dallas for him? But why not assign him to Dalls games then? He doesn't show any favortism to either opponent and actually tries to undermine the Saints where able.
