Envision: to think of (something that you believe might exist or happen in the future) : to picture (something) in your mind

AKA: My opinion

Never said "This is how the draft will go" with certainty. The authored offered his opinion; I offered mine to the thread.

Us passing on:
Scherff (position of need/starter)
Dupree (position of need)

....damn, no.

Cooper. They need playmaker at WR moreso than a big body physical type. They need OL help, but that ain't happening at 4. Now that Albert is washing Mephisto's dishes in hell, they seem to be a bit more structured of an organization... just a bit. They may not make some dumb move that they have been known for in the past

I didn't say people would be buying, but I like to think we would be trying to sell.

As you said,
quote:

all the reason and logic in the world won't accurately predict a draft

so no one really know what will happen, we definitely don't know if some one would trade up to get him had this happened.

Cooper will be a solid pick for sure, i'm thinking Randy Gregory is a sleeper pick for them at that spot.

have QBs better than Winston and Mariota

Would you pass on potential good starters when you have Cutler (at his price) and Foles? Why not draft them and let them prep for the job...

we'd probably have a better time auctioning of a trae waynes guy at that spot than Mariotta if he fell to 13.

If i were drew breeze i would ask for a trade. If you blow up a team for draft picks then draft a guy to sit on the bench, I would want out.

That being said it would be crazy if we drafted a QB this year.

Chicago is depleted at OLB/DE as well. Also down to 1 good WR.

Of course this is from an outside perspective, they may be in a full-rebuild mode including QB. But from the looks of it, Foles is their future in STL and Cutler is still their starter with that contract (unless he is traded).

Nope. He actually makes sense here. Everyone who is playing draft scout is too busy looking at physical measurables & college stats of quarterback prospects instead of the cerebral aspects of those prospects. Quarterbacks have to viewed differently from any other positions. There are some things we as fans simply cannot evaluate no matter how many games, highlights or draft shows we watch or how much we study the stats of these players.

Coaches & scouts are beginning to openly criticize the spread & the quarterbacks coming out of these systems. They aren't being prepared in college to handle all of the mental nuances that are asked at the pro level. Look at the spread duds over the last few years & how many that are struggling to develop as consistent passers.

Geno Smith, Vince Young, Colt McCoy, Jake Locker, Colin Kaepernick, Cam Newton, Andy Dalton, RG3, Alex Smith, Tim Tebow, Tim Couch & there's a bunch more who made NFL rosters but never amounted to anything at all. Look at Tajh Boyd. He couldn’t even make a roster after a really solid career at Clemson.

Nothing about Oregon's system has prepared Mariota to be a day one starting in the NFL outside his practicing of his footwork & his mechanics. Mariota is a project in the making. He's ill prepared for the defenses & the calls he will have to make in the NFL. Any early success he may have will become negated by opposing defenses once the opposition breakdowns the film & concludes what his weaknesses are similar to what happened with Kaepernick, RG3 & Newton. Does any team really want to waste a high draft pick on that?

So many have done it before and they will do it again. Some teams in serious need of a QB will take a chance on him just like all those QBs before him, and if he does drop (which is possible) we won't take him.

I think if he's there, and nobody wants to trade for tt the pick, its because they dont think ypu will pick him. If the saints have him rated highly enough, they should pick him. They can try to auction him off, or keep him.

LOL at Landon Collins at 9. A safety who can't cover in the top 10. Nice. Mark Barron part 2.

What is the infatuation with Mariota? Is he even that good?
