Did Beasley tear his acl twice in college?
Posted on 6/10/16 at 2:45 pm to Patrick O Rly
Our defense was hurt before the injury, why panic now? Why is everyone acting like Kikaha makes us a top 5 defense? We have issues and injuries across the board; starting with our defensive coordinator. Is Kikaha a raw talent? Yes; we will miss depth at the jack linebacker position, but he doesn't make or break out season. We will have more injuries and more players will have to step up, that's football. I hate to see people in panic mode over 1 player like he's Drew Brees or someone. I got alot of people but hurt over my statement; and maybe i came across the wrong way; so I say again; I wish injury on nobody, I've been a Saints fan since most of you were in diapers. When I heard the Kikaha news, the first thing that came to mind was " next man up". Yes I did say who cares, but the context of that was, who cares, why panic? Not who cares that a young man injured himself. I blame the front office for drafting a player in the second round who had multiple acl tears in college; especially when there were more pass rushers on the board. Our defense has been pathetic the last few years, historically pathetic, it's going to take alot more than Kikaha to resolve this defense.

Because they just got worse.

Ridiculous strawman argument.

This is the definition of a straw man argument. You are hardly worth engaging. That is all.

Title still has a question mark.
Hope?
Hope?

Yeah, I'm not getting my hopes up, but it's not official yet. Jalen Ramsey was all but done for the season a few weeks ago and he's already practicing.

You're finally right. Absolutely ridiculous argument. You go lay in your bed and cry. Kikaha is done 4 the season get over it and move on. I bet you never let any of your ex girlfriends move on very easily if you ever had 1. Smh. You panic like the dad clown fish from finding nemo. Until we get some real coaching or real talent defensively, we will always be a 1 dimensional team; plenty of offense, with absolutely no defense. I don't argue with idiots so this will be my last post to you.

why panic now? nobody is panicking, they're simply disappointed that one of our only positive players last year is hurt. You're the one over exaggerating and strawmaning everything
especially when not a single person here said or even insinuated we're a top 5 defensive team with him, but for a team that was THAT bad, losing any talent has the potential to do well is going to keep us stagnant at 31-32nd instead of maybe even 20.
You're right, next man up, but nobody here is saying 2-14 or some bullshite like you are. every single person here is disappointed that he's injured, thats it, nothing more unless you want to keep insinuating that.

I think y'all can give up on responding to this guy and expecting to change his mind or hoping for a reasonable reply.

Sometimes I'll stare at a post like this for a long time trying to decide if the poster is an idiot of just like 14 yrs old. Hours, days, sometimes weeks will go by as I try and crack the riddle of how such a retarded group of words could be strung together.

Bobby Hebert said its the same one as well as other reports. This could be Cie Grant all over again or he could play for 5 years straight. Who knows?

Update: Saints DE Hau'oli Kikaha may miss season after tearing ACL
Mike Triplett
ESPN Staff Writer 6:19 PM ET

Kikaha declined comment in the locker room after practice.
Payton said he doesn't think Kikaha's latest injury is career-threatening because "everything else is healthy with the knee" besides the ACL.
"We're looking at a clean picture that I think would be repaired as if it was his first ACL, so that's the good news," Payton said.
But he said Kikaha's history is part of the reason he is being so diligent with seeking multiple opinions on which type of repair would be best. Payton said the first two doctors have agreed so far on the type of procedure, though he didn't specify which.
As for the Saints' plans at the Jack defensive end position, Payton said they didn't want to make any "knee-jerk" reactions by bringing in a veteran. But he did say that remains a possibility.
One option is 10-year NFL veteran Darryl Tapp, who is in for a tryout during this week's minicamp.
The Saints also have third-year pro Kasim Edebali and second-year pros Obum Gwacham and Davis Tull in the mix. Edebali has been working with trainers because of an unspecified injury this month, but Payton said he will be healthy for the start of training camp.
"We feel like we've got some good young developmental players at that position," Payton said. "Obviously Hau was one of them, Boom's one of them, Edebali, Tull. So we've got a handful of options.
"I think there's that initial knee-jerk, 'Well you've got to go sign ...' Well, you've got to be careful that the vision's clear. And so right now we're gonna work on the guys that are here and obviously pay attention to any type player that might be able to help us that's not signed."

METAIRIE, La. -- Coach Sean Payton confirmed that New Orleans Saints defensive end Hau'oli Kikaha will likely be lost for the season with a torn ACL in his left knee. But Payton said the second-year pro is seeking multiple opinions on exactly what type of procedure will be required.
Kikaha tore his ACL in that same left knee twice during college.
quote:
"To his credit, man, he's been unbelievable in regards to his mindset," Payton said. "You think you might get someone who was extremely disappointed. And I'm sure that was the case. And yet the night he got his first diagnosis he sent me a three-page-long text just about how this has just motivated him more. He's a pretty tough cookie.

"I think obviously you're the exception if you can come back after the third ACL and play, but I wouldn't bet against Hau. I think he's got that mindset, and that's encouraging."
