Isn't it a better surprise if you bring home a 5 and she fricks like a 10? Don't you appreciate it that much more.

So true, so true.

Hugo how long do you think his contract would be for? 1 year? 4? 3?

I think it would be multiple years and a nice signing bonus to minimize the initial cap hit.

I also have no idea how the saints will afford it.

3 years like Paddy said.

I'm thinking 18 million with a 5 million bonus.

That and I think people are overestimating how much Asomugha will cost. Guy was terrible for the past 2 years, and while scheme played a part in it, age certainly does as well. Plus neither us nor the 9ers are exactly desperate for a CB. Carlos Rogers is still solid and Tarell Brown was excellent last season, and Greer/Lewis will be a solid duo if Greer stays healthy. I still think Jenkins could be a good nickel CB, too. Asomugha obviously is a potentially huge reward signing, but I don't think a team is going to pay more than 2/$10m for that with a reasonable cap hit in the 2nd year if things don't work out.

I'm going to predict 3 years/$16m, $3m signing bonus, base salaries of 2/4/7 with pretty much no chance of his seeing that 3rd year. Maybe some of his 2014 base salary guaranteed to sweeten the pot.
