I'm sure we'll finish this season around 7-10, winning the last 3 and giving Mickey and Co enough reason to retain DA again. Next year we will finish 5-12 and have a top ten pick.... Not the number 1, we'll miss out on Shedeur and Cade Klubnik and draft the Penn State guy Allar... Then DA will get canned after starting out 0-4 and Allar will be a decent QB, but never quite enough to be get us over the hump for the next 10 years.

Yeah this is bullshite. Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, Brett Favre, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Russell Wilson, Kurt Warner.
We can go on naming more who weren’t top 3 including just this year Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, Tua Tagovailoa, Brock Purdy, Dak Prescott, Geno Smith, Justin Herbert.
Qb’s can be found anywhere. I would draft one every year til I found a good one. Payton fricked up big time by never looking for a Brees replacement.
Loomis let Dennis Allen, who won’t be with the Saints very long, frick the franchise by signing Carr with a draft coming up that is loaded with talented qb’s.

Yea and they will draft a damn center or punter. It’s going to be a ridiculously stupid pick regardless when it comes to the saints

You are having a different conversation. It's a good conversation, but not what the OP proposed. You should take the list of names you put up, then cross it with ones that were evaluated as 1st rounders then see if our pick was before or after them.
We picked after Marino, Herbert, Mahomes, Tua, Roethlisberger and Farve, but missed on Rogers, Hurts, Brees, and Jackson.

And then for how long would you not draft one? When Montana was drafted, we still had Manning. Dak was drafted in 2016, Geno Smith in 2013, Drew played until 2020.
And we have drafted several Warner's, Brady's and Purdy's over the years.

Erxleben is the worst pick in the history of the NFL draft.

I don't see that changing anytime soon. Carr is here for at least 2 years and the Saints are going to have plenty of holes to fill soon.

People nowadays just make up shite.
He started one game at QB for the Saints. In his entire Saints tenure, he threw a total of 52 passes. Worst Saints QB ever. Lmao.
