If we don't run the ball 30 times we're stupid.

I agree. The offense generally does better overall when the backs and even more importantly, the offensive line, gets into a rythym.

Yea bro. The line gets in a great rhythm in the 4 minute offense.

Maybe not 30

But at least 20 times a game. That’s bare minimum.

So before the games started you already think you know what’s best for the play calling over Sean Payton.

The arrogance with some of you guys amazes me.

The only reason to have less than 20 rush att. in a game is if you have fallen far behind early in the game. CSP has an itchy trigger finger sometimes even when we are still well in the game. ex. Atlanta 11 rush atts.

The only reason it's Sean coaching the saints and not me is quite frankly, my home town needs me running the grill at McDonald's. Some people's calling is more important than a game

So if we run it 20 times for 35 yards we should still run it 10 more?

Meh...25 rushes 35 passes is not a bad ratio for CSP.

OP would have been more impactful by mentioning that Carolina has:

-The 26th overall rushing defense
-The 12th overall passing defense

The way to win this game is with lots of rushing.

they came out for the falcons game just looking at padding brees stats to catch up to brady and get back the lead he lost.

i wont be shocked if they try it again and get shut down

They were down the #1cb and their DL couldn't generate a pass rush to save their lives.

They decided to revamp everything and for 2 weeks they've looked like a playoff caliber team people expected

Mike D always says this stay where we’re like 78-3 when we rush the ball 30 or more times. I mean generally when we run the ball effectively and can PA off we’re a much more unpredictable offense.

What we desire to be is a play action team, even when we're not running the ball that well.

I remember we ran a play action on 2nd 14 in the red zone, and I'm thinking "who the hell is gonna bite on that right now?"

But Payton usually gets it figured out and he wins on some things he shouldn't of but just did it.

So in hindsight I think we ran the ball 18 times for over 100 yards and I'm not sure why we didn't run it more, but I think God we got the win, and I took my son and that was an awesome experience.

Pretty sure he's got the cause-effect relationship backwards. All teams tend to run more once they already have a comfortable lead.

What's stupid is setting an arbitrary goal for running a particular type of play.
