Colston is already getting almost $5M a year in Salary hit. I don't think he's worth more than that in the Saint's passing attach. Jimmy Graham has been the real game changer this year, and he's pulling in less than $700k this year and the next 2.

I'd let Colston have his pay day, he's earned it, and I'd draft a solid 2nd or 3rd round receiver. We don't need a pre-madaonna, we just need someone with good ethic, fundamentals and production who is a value.

Coach Payton can find that just as he found Colston.

I don't think the Saints are gonna go out and sign a big name WR. Just not the way our organization is run. We'll find a diamond in the rough though.

Colston is so good that he's consistently underrated, even by Saints fans.

It's vital to keep him, IMO.

Agreed, the reason Graham has been so good this year is because Safeties have been moving over to Colston's side and leaving the seam to LBs to cover Graham.

When Graham has a bad game (doubled by safeties/LBr) Colston has a huge game. Both of these guys along with Moore are Brees' safety net. All those years together means something; however, I agree that he isn't worth top 5 WR money.

I agree, he is by far the best WR we have. It is important to keep him. I truly believe we underappreciate how good he is. Can't just keep getting WR by committee here. Brees can't do everything.

If Roddy White knew how to keep his mouth shut and catch the damn ball, then I wouldn't mind it.

Jackson would not fit this team's personality. Dude is good, but his attitude is polar opposite of potential.

I wouldn't mind Garcon. Not necessarily Colston'esque, but I like his attitude and he knows what it's like to play for a great QB.

Reggie Wayne wouldn't be a bad pick up either for the same reasons mentioned above.

No to Braylon Edwards and Terrell Owens.

Never thought about DeAngelo Peterson that way before. He has excellent size, strength and is a great blocker as well, definitely wouldn't mind adding him to the Saints roster with one of our 6th round selections.

Your list is sorry to say 'crappy'?

Over the hill or guys we have no money to pay.

If (early big IF)he leaves Payton will unleash his secret A.A. weapon so no worries brah.

they don't need to go and bring in anyone, the Saints stay loaded with guys on the practice squad that would be playin for another team if the Saints didn't have them. the Fayzon or Fayson kid can fill in with them not missin a beat!

Deangelo will go in the late rounds because of his limited use at LSU, he can slim back down to where he was before becoming a TE. I didn't think of that, but he would be a excellent replacement for Colston if they wanted to keep that size that Colston has in the big possesion type WR.

Exactly! Saints will take a lesser player who fits the image we need & Drew will make him better. Not saying I wouldn't love to have one of the big name FA's, but it is simply not going to happen with our cap space.
