Ruben Randel would be great....Great hands and playing at LSU he has to know how to block....

Why don't we sign Michael Clayton (didn't realize he was with the Giants), resign Skyler Green, and talk Matt Mauck out of being a dentist, and we can relive the magic of '03.

Oh wait. Defense.

good one sicboy

Arrington is much more likely than any high profile name. If they have enough cap room to sign one of them then they would re-sign Colston.

With the advent of Jimmy G as a big bodied go-to guy I don't think another Colston type is a must. Devery is approaching speed reduction by age. Meachem could possibly go. A wideout burner type guy could be more needed.

Ryan Broyle OK & Joe Adams ARK fit that mold as mid round picks

What would we have to give up, really? Blackmon could be an improvement, for real!

Drew Brees is going to throw for 5400 yards and we're talking about wide receiver improvement. Seriously though, we need improvement at LB, DE, DT and shite. We already wasted our first and some dud.

im not 100% sure he meant improvement - i think it was meant as a replacement for Colston - should we lose him or any other reciever.

fwiw i don;t know if I would consider either 1st rounders we got as a waste or a dud - both are rookies and learning as they play. now if they don;t pan out next season, i may share your assessment then.

It just seems like Ingram is only as good as every other RB on the roster, and we have much deeper issues on Defense.

But you're right, he might seriously improve.
Until then, Ivory is the better one.

It's so weird that this is the case, but you couldn't be more correct. I really thought he was going to be a huge asset!

right now - I agree Hoodoo - Ingram has not perfomed in the way I honestly thought he would - but to say he is a bust based on little to no playbook learning, and then basically learning on the fly is crazy. he will be alright, and i think he will be good next year - hell he has shown flashes of what he can do.

for Cam Jorday - i think he too will ultimately pan out, but he hit the same wall ingram did.

give the kids a full season and see how the next goes - if they don't perfomr as intended next year - they i can agree with the bust statements.

Ingam's defintely not a bust.
But we gave up future picks for him.
Worries me.

If we can't keep Colston, I like Manningham (probably too pricey), Hixon, Earl Bennett, Garcon, Steve Smith (Philly) as longer term, cheap replacements. If we draft a guy and want someone for a year, Chaz Schilens or taking a chance on Braylon Edwards.

it is concerning - but I got faith in the front office - they rarely make bad selections in the draft.

I wouldn't mind Garcon, Hixon or Braylon.

The saints would be much better off without colston than colston would be without drew brees.

Not saying colston isn't good. Hes great. But, long term, he will have better numbers and make more money with the saints.

agreed - as long as Brees plays at a high level, all our recievers will look good.

Everyone keeps saying Arrington. If he was that good he would be playing in the games. He rides the pine.

Adrian Arrington is the next Jerry Rice. We're just keeping him on ice.
