Yep spot on

But it's more likely to hope Rodgers comes back and Minnesota has to play them in Lambeau than for the Panthers to beat them

It’s not that unrealistic. You have Minnesota and Philadelphia losing to playoff contenders on the road. You don’t even need the Rams to lose to Seattle. If we end up in a three or even 4 way tie at the top and one of those teams is Philly then the head to head loses don’t meter.

Hardly any upsets in those scenarios. Most unlikely of all those outcomes actually is saints winning out. But if we were to and Philly loses tonight then it's not far fetched we earn #1 seed

How do you know we would win the tiebreaker in that situation?

So we do still hold the tie breaker if we all end up at 13-3?

Because what's laid out in the OP is absolutely very realistic. If we win at Atlanta Thursday night, we're winning out. This Thursday basically is going to determine if we're going to stay in contention for the top seed.

I know we win the tie breaker in a 3+ team tiebreaker at 13-3 because of multiple reliable sources (ESPN playoff machine, playoffstatus.com, NFL.com), but I just don't know exactly why either. But it must be due to strength of schedule tiebreaker whenever there's a 3+ team tiebreaker right?

We would all have same overall and conference record so SOS must be next tiebreaker

Why Rams over Tenn?

If the Seahawks win the West and we win the south it also creates possibilities with a 3 way tie without Philly for the 2 seed.

Still plenty of football left and nothing is guaranteed to any team at this point. If the Eagles lose tonight and next week and we win Thursday then it's all in play.

All those things aren't necessary and don't need to happen. If OP stuck to necessary games only all that matters is Saints win out, Philly loses twice, Rams lose once, Vikings lose once. Opponents don't even matter when I've played with the playoff machine so I think it's just that simple

Just because I gave each of the quality teams the 50/50 games as a worst case scenario type deal. Then the ones with two quality teams I gave the benefit to the guys who help us lol

Rams don't even need to lose if we win out and Philly loses twice.

Literally the only necessities if we win out are two Philly losses and one Min loss. And the two seed is in play just with two Philly losses or the Seahawks finishing 12-4 along with us and another division leader.

I really just want a bye more than anything. #1 seed would be nice for obvious reasons, but a bye is huge. I worry about this team's health and depth on defense.
