While not fired, Johnson made a lateral move as Dline coach of the Rams. Enough talent to keep him employed for a few years.

Vitt is a consultant with the Dolphins, where his son in law is head coach.

McMahon is a consultant with LSU.

So yeah the fired ones got lesser jobs (in fact not really coaching jobs at all, at least on the field).

Didn't look up the rest cause who cares.

The NFL is the home of retread coaches, I'm sure they all caught on with some team in some capacity.

To be fair the difference with team with Kromer and Vitt was huge. Our season could have been much worse without Vitt that year.

I'm actually kinda excited about the prospects of an improved return game. Even if fresh blood in Ginn or Kamara, I'll still be muttering WhyTF didn't they get rid of McMahon sooner.

Here we go into season two of the best longterm outlook at kicker since Hartley. After the revolving door, just having continuity with just a solid guy would be refreshing.

Morstead is spendy but is still among the top.

I would go so far is to say that after a successful 2017 season we could look back and say WhyTF did it take so long to fix that. It was an all too obvious problem. shite, it took until 3 or 4 wins in a single season could be considered lost by the poor special teams play.

I am always hopeful but even bigger... I think the coaching changes could be the difference of of Payton's legacy whimpering out versus a fresh oomph surge along with Brees' stretch run to a final ring.

Even breauxmosexual could've gone .500 with that team and I think he may be half retard.

I'm not arguing the last part of your post, but Beach Chair Kromer didn't go .500 with that team.

I think Payton and Loomis tried everything they could to spark a change and looked to make staff changes as a last resort. Most coaches in the NFL do not get that much rope from owners, but in Payton's situation (and Loomis) they are so entrenched and secure in their jobs they aren't pressured to take drastic measures. Hence 7-9, 7-9, 7-9.......

I actually liked him better as a head coach than as a LB coach. Guy had fire.
