Wow.

I think we know who.

Was really shocked. I should have remembered such a number.

That is quite a shocking stat. Not surprising once you look at our QB drought throughout our history

In the regular draft, but didn't the Saints pick Dave Wilson out of Illinois in the supplemental draft. This was in 1981.

So, no.

Saints also traded 1st, 2nd, 3rd round picks for Steve Walsh in the early 90s.

That's the equivalent of drafting IMO. Also, Dave Wilson supplemental as has been mentioned.

Well, since the Saints drafted Dave Wilson in the first round of the 1981 supplemental draft, then the OP thread title is not correct.

I remember that, a lot to pay for a forgotten name in Saints history, but then, we had so many high draft pick failures...

Wasn't the Wilson supplemental pick in '81 the reason the team had no 1st round pick in '83 which ultimately caused them to miss out on Dan Marino? Marino's stock ended up falling like a ton of bricks after a bad senior season at Pitt & rumors of him being a cocaine user. He went from being a top 5 pick to falling to the Dolphins at 27.
