It just depends on what the FO decides to do.

We know who our 4 DT's are in 2017. Onyemata might be ready to play DE next year(I hope he is), but I'm not sure you can go into training camp depending on it.

Then you have Jordan at DE. Our high draft pick would be 2. We need 2 more guys at minimum. If the coaches think that Kikaha, Gwachum, Edebali(F.A.), & Tapp(F.A.) are good enough to choose from, then I'm behind it. I might throw up if they sign Kruger again.

I think it's the worst move as well. I'm just trying to stay positive. I wouldn't have a problem with it at all if it was a cheaper deal.

As far as the Cooks deal...I wish we could have kept that 4th round pick.

Claiborne for sure, and I wouldn't mind bidding for someone of his talent. Give him a prove it deal like Fairley

They declined tendering Edebali. He gone.

can still be signed at a minimum, tendering him costs more.

Onyemata's pro day was nice, but unless he intends on losing 20-30 lbs his 300lb frame is more of a DT than a DE.

overall good #s, but its on the lower end if comparing to DEs
40: 5.07
vert: 33
bench: 33 reps
broad: 119
20 shuttle: 4.69
3cone: 7.25

It just kills me to see us go after AJ Klein when Campbell, Bouye, Hightower, Sheard, etc are out there. We need some studs. Stupar panned out well but Stupar shouldn't be panning out that well is the point. He was a special teams player in Atlanta for a terrible defense. I really wanted to see them add real talent. Thought they were gonna load up for a 2017 run.

Nobody mentioning Manti Teo, but I'd like to sign him, on a fairly cheap deal because of his injuries. He has familiarity with Nolan and was pretty good when healthy.

I think with him and Klein as pick ups, it really sures up that position heading into the draft and means you dont have to spend a high pick at LB and can grab one in latter rounds

The tender cost north of a million. Signing him to a minimum deal cost about half a mil.

We did this with Tom Johnson (and lost the gamble), as well as several other guys in the past.

I don't think Ede put enough on tape to get more than the minimum, but if he does I think he'll give us a chance to match whatever offer at least.

If we sign Manti Teo or Mauti...we might not draft a LB at all. Signing 1 more guy will give us 6 LB's, & we only use 2 LB's sometimes. We won't have any elite guys, but we'll have solid options. Hopefully Nolan can get something out of Anthony. If Anthony doesn't develop this year...I assume he's gone next year.

Nothing came out of his visit as far as I can tell. Maybe he's an option if we don't draft one just to get some competition in camp.

It would shock me to no end of we don't sign a CB, DE, and RB.

Moore and/or Wilson, Edebali and/or Tapp, and Hightower and/or Cadet.

I think we may be planning to roll over most of this cap to either push for Brees or go balls out next year if we lose him (or maybe resign him and go balls out).

I'd be cool with either of those actually.

Ellerbe did good I thought when he played but he's still sketchy to rely on health wise.

I don't feel real good about the other LB's after him. Robertson is a better cover LB than what we've had in awhile. But he and Stupar aren't the kind players who are going to make a difference consistently. They are more role player type of guys in my opinion.

Klein might be better than them playing the run though who knows.

I still say we need an alpha dog LB. Maybe there isn't one left out there in FA. If they don't feel there is then I hope we draft one.

Ellerbe could be that guy I think but he's banged up all the time it seems like.

Maybe a CB. I don't know if we'd go after any other DEs or HBs. None that would get people excited anyway.

Replacing Cooks with josh Gordon and getting the 32nd pick

I like it.

he's big WR and has good speed for his size. I wish the Saints would take a one year flier on him but I doubt it.

Disagree. They have some money. They aren't going to just spend it on Tapp and Moore. They are bringing in some vets.

Whose left at rush end worth taking a look at? Ditto for HB?

Serious questions as I haven't fully kept up this year.

Lots of DE's left. Not elite, but good low end starters. All can play 4-3 DE as well. There are more, but these are the ones that jumped out at me.

Mario Williams
Chris Long
Datone Jones
Connor Barwin
Jared Odrick
Dwight Freeney
Devin Taylor

RB's - Adrian Peterson & Eddie Lacy cost too much. We can't pay 2 guys starter money.

Latavius Murray
LaGarrette Blount
Rex Burkhead
Jamaal Charles - might cost too much as well, but will probably settle for a 1 year deal
DeAngelo Williams
Christine Michael
Khiry Robinson

In addition Rex Burkhead and Christine Michael are worth a look at RB.

Lots of guys worth a look left at DE. No, none of them are all world but we need bodies and veteran depth. We can't rely on a rookie day 1.
