I can stomach the niners, vikings, etc. losses as i know we played a good game and came out 2nd.

I will forever be pissed about this becuse there was a blantant no call amd the saints 100% should have won this game.

Cavaletto and Patrick Turner both had domain over the "area" of the field where the infraction happened

If it were up to me, those 2 bastards would be barred from ever officiating another game in the NFL! They can't manage a bowl of instant pudding much less a football game with high stakes!

It appeared to me that Cavaletto made a hand gesture to Turner that the ball was tipped, therefore Turner refrained from throwing the flag

Tipped ball would only matter for the PI. The helmet to helmet, or defenseless player, would still apply.

He was looking directly at the play. Go back and look at the video of the ref in the white hat.

bullshite. He’s looking right at it. As the head referee, it’s his job to make sure the crew gets it right. The fans in the top row of 642 saw it, I promise that old LA resident Bill saw it from 20 yards away.

That’s not his call. It doesn’t matter what he thinks he sees, it’s not his call. Just like it’s not the back judge’s call to throw a flag for roughing the QB. I’m not sure why anyone thinks Vinovich bears any blame for the call.

Bc he is the head of this crew and on this stage should ask questions of a blatant missed call.

How's he going to ask questions if he didn't see it?

I just can't figure out why any of the referees would have spent the night (Sunday after the game) in New Orleans..?

There is no team charter for the officials and they aren't flying back to the same place. They all fly commercial to their homes.

205 start. By the time they debrief, shower, etc it's probably at least 730 pm by the time they leave the stadium. Which would mean a 930 - 10 pm flight and there aren't many of those at all out of MSY.

Because this board, just like tRant and the PoliBoard, etc, are full of people that have no idea what the hell they are talking about, but on a message board, they don't have to admit that.

right....and the Saints had played well enough to win the game until the refs no call. thats the whole damn point.

correct. zack strief confirmed your thoughts on WWL this morning. A NFL player has backed up our argument

a former NFl GM backed up our argument the ref was in charge and could have made a call and fixed that BS at the end on TLL. this is coming from NFl guys. who know way more than dipshits here like uptopar and others who are fn morons. officilas all the time throw flags from across field. shite vinovich didnt even have to do that. he calls them together as he was looking right at the play and calls it after conference. dude is a huge gaping pussy. miller basically alluded to that

YET YOU KNOW MORE THAN A EX NFL GM??

FN MORON

If this is true, it will never get the attention it deserves by the MSM. That is hugely consequential.

If true, then Al Riveron has to fall on the sword. He is the one, as far as I know, in charge of ref assignments. He can't let a ref crew even have the appearance of bias.

This goes back to the lack of transparency with the league and its officials. Make the lead ref hold a post game press conference. Sure it will be a lot of "ref talk", but at least it would help the league appear to be transparent.
