He is going to be sign they waiting to see what the other free agent players we have are asking for and seeing what players we can cut to get all the needs of the team dealt with. They are evaluating the whole sitiuation before dropping the bank on brees. I say they sign him a week before the deadline of him being able to test the market. So i say next tuesday the bank will land in brees back yard.

I don't understand why they would franchise him. Everyone and their mom knows he is going to get top tier money, are the Saints just not able to put out the money?

They won't. I'd imagine a contract of that size requires a lot of detailed language. I'm sure they're also trying to figure out how to make it the most team friendly. Brees isn't irrational and they're probably working together on what benefits everyone. I freaking hate the immediate gratification/twittercentric/reactionary world we now live in.

I think espn should actually change their moniker to, "The TMZ of Sports!" It's only about ratings. I have found the one show worth watching is NFL 32. It has rotating guests, sometimes better or worse, but more real conversation about things over flashy headlines.
I wouldn't change my service if it didn't have nfl network. If you have access you better get it. Many times better and football only.

TulaneLSU has got to be the biggest idiot on here. Benson would lose a lot more money by NOT signing Brees than if he paid him the big bucks.
