Draft rumor: Jets & Saints swap 1st rounders. Saints get Muhammed Wilkerson

Would you do this trade if you were in charge of the Saints draft? I would.
Btw, the Jets pick #20 in round 1, so we'd be getting Wilkerson for moving back 8 spots in the 1st round.

We would probably get more from the Jets. They'd probably have to throw in some draft picks as well, maybe swap a couple with us.

Jets only have 6 picks including two 7th rounders. Maybe you have them give up their 3rd for our 4th?

But trading down for a proven veteran at a position of need is different than trading back just for picks. If they were willing to pay Norman, they just might be willing to pay Wilkerson.

Why would the Jets trade all the way down to #12 when nobody between the Saints and Jets needs a QB? If the draft order stays as it is now the Jets could wait until Lynch falls to them. This trade doesn't make any sense.
As said before, the Jets don't have that many picks to begin with so trading up is necessary ideal for them. 2nd, Wilkerson is on the final year of his contract and trading for a player who could potentially not resign with you next season isn't worth it either.
