I like Moncrief a lot as a 3rd or 4th Rder.

I posed in another thread, do you prefer ODB at #27 or Landry at #91. For most, that is hands down Landry. Same principle for Moncrief.

I think all this WR at #27 is a lot more message board talk than substantive speculation. After free agency that might change. As of now, there are starter holes at CB, RT, & C. RT & C can be filled past the 1st Rd if need be. CB is a higher premium than WR and a much larger need as well.

Watkins, Evans, and maybe Lee could fall into the "Must Pick" on value category at #27. Only Evans has any chance to fall that far. I'm not even sure he falls into must-pick if any of the top 3 or 4 CBs are still on the board.

If a top CB drops, you take the CB with the #1 pick. if a safety like haha or a LB like mosley dip, you really have to consider BPA and it would be them.

I'd honestly be happier if we waited til 2nd/3rd to pick up a receiver. This year seems deep enough we could get someone like matthews later rather than a similar caliber WR sooner.

interested to see what happens with Patrick Robinson.

had he stayed healthy in 2013, I wonder how he would have developed.

Keenan Lewis, Corey White, and P-Rob.

I don't know.

I think the Saints could get a corner in the 2nd round or the 3rd round too. This guy Keith McGill from Utah is 6'3"

maybe the Saints take a page out of Seattle's book and get a player like this in the mid rounds?

I know there is a lot of depth at WR but if a player like Benjamin is there at #27... I think it is a no brainer for the Saints.

I dont see Dennard or Gilbert being available when we pick. Roberson could be there. I like him.

But Im all for taking Matthews in the 1st. Yea he caught a lot of screens..... in college with sub par QBs. And he was their best offensive player. They wanted the ball in his hands. And regardless of that, Matthews is a complete WR. HE will end up a top 3 WR in this class.

And Im a fan of Moncrief as well. I dont think he will be available in the 3rd. Hes moving up draft boards. Very good WR. Only reason he wasnt that productive this past season is because of Treadwell.

If there isnt a guy we want in the 1st, I wouldnt mind trading back and getting Moncrief in the 2nd.

This is a really deep draft. There's really not a real true superstar in this class. A lot of good quality though.

If people don't want a corner or wideout in the first round, what do you want? O-Line?
