The fact that he doesn't rely solely on his athleticism isn't a negative here

I concede this but if the athleticism weens off even a little it will be tough for him

Which is why i wouldn't count on solely him.

I just think we'll find a consistent player from one of Okafor, him, or Hendrickson. We already know Okafor can do it at this level situationally, which is an upgrade

He ran a 4.93 at 250 at a pro day which are notoriously fast.,

I don't have the numbers on me but he is prob close to a 10th percentile athlete if that

He also put up really good 3 cone and 20 yard shuttle drills

Kikaha vs Tim Williams

40 - 4.9 - 4.68
Vert - 34.5 - 33.5
20 shuttle - 4.33 - 4.57
3 cone - 7.13 - 7.36

So he's quick and accelerates well

I'm sick of people saying this.

I'd put the odds of Okafor getting 8+ pretty slim

Rankins, if healthy all year, will get 6+ easily. 6-8 is a safe bet IMO

Haven't you been complaining about taking not picking Williams?

LINK

Someone's numbers are off.

Also yeah 7.13 might be meh at 253, but it isn't fringe. Far from it.

There were guys with around 7.5 going this year.

Ditto. He looked very promising his rookie year and is ready to go.

Explain to me how he isn't a fringe athlete? Lol this should be good. Cause there is literally no evidence to support your claim

Williams was not high on my want list. Looking back I would have loved him at 76 over what we ended with

Because I actually watch the games and see how athletic he can be, instead of relying on underwear stats that consistently make teams miss one way or another.

The 3 cone and split times are pretty average for players his size in the nfl. Far from fringe. He vert was also okay.

His 40 was slow but he ain't here to run 40 yards straight. Again he accelerates pretty fast, just doesn't have top end.

None of his measurables were fringe. Not top end but not fringe.

The eye test is always the answer when they have no evidence. Nice job bone

I think a fully healthy dl, more talent in the secondary, and running the ball ever slightly more will improve the pass rush. Then you add in coaching changes. Subtract the inevitable injuries and you still have a net gain. Did they without a doubt jump into the top half if the league, no. Did they get better, yes. There were a lot more issues last year than just having a pass rush opposite Jordan.
