I know I won't. It was just so boneheaded beyond comprehension. If a talent like Collins is still sitting there in the 3rd round I'm taking him. I know people think his situation made him a risky selection but all draft picks are risky selections. Anyone can turn out to be a bust. There are no guarantees on Grayson or PJ Williams either. But in the 5th he's still on the board? Holy cow, how can you pass on him, unbelieveable. Then again in the 7th, got to be shitting me. Between Peat and Collins, could have solidified our oline for years to come. High potential for elite play at OG with Collins. An o-line featuring Collins, Peat, Unger, Evans and Armstead with Strief as a key backup would have been epic. Let it slip away for no good reason along with one last shot at a super bowl with Brees at QB.

Collins isn't excluded from that in bold.

You risk having a bust in the 5th, 6th, and 7th, but you can also find another Stills, Bushrod, Colston, Strief, etc.

Something some guys don't realize is that if he was drafted he can decline to sign with a team, and re enter in the 2016 NFL draft.

I'm sure that was a bluff that teams were scared to call his agent out on. I'd also bet that he was not drafted a a PR move to let the NFL save face if he was connected to the deaths of the young woman and child.

Was it a bluff? “We can put it on the record now: We were never going back in the draft,” Smith says of waiting for the 2016 draft. “If someone had drafted him, we would’ve had a long, long discussion about it, but at the end of the day you can’t go back in the draft. He could get injured, gain weight, or 10 great tackles could come out. Too many risks.”

Exactly what I thought played out...So, YES the Saints missed out on another great talent.

What I heard- the Saints were warned not to draft Collins. Goodell told the Saints there were plenty of leftover napkins from the 2015 draft event.

I don't know if you ever noticed this or not, but if people aren't interested in a particular subject and don't post in a thread it will drop to the bottom by itself. On the other hand, if people are interested in a thread and want to talk about it, thus they post in it, it will stay near the top. If you don't like a subject you do know that you don't need to click on it don't you?

It almost seems like Dallas had a plan in place once the circus started...

I had fried chicken for dinner.

And apple pie for dessert.
