Yes, until we are mathematically eliminated.

Saints aren't going to the playoffs.

Would have to win out, I still don't think 10-6 will get us in. Not likely we get in, hopefully we do though.

I guess if we beat Atl twice we could get in at 10-6. I don't know, I promised myself I wouldn't pay attention to playoff scenarios until after the bye

10-6 may not be enough. But even if it is that would mean this team would only lose 1 more game which is not likely to happen with this horrible defense.

This team is a carbon copy of 2007, 2008, 2012, and 2014.

They'll win, lose the following week, win, lose the following week, win, lose the following week, win, lose the following week, on and on and on...

Somehow this has become a staple in the Payton era where these teams cannot handle having a win over .500

The very definition of 8-8

Well we did just come off of winning 3 in a row. Which debunks your entire theory

It's still possible, but it's going to be a difficult task. Unless they go into a big slump, Carolina is well on their way to winning the NFC South. The Falcons are two games ahead of the Saints right now, leaving the Saints third in the division. It is very rare for three playoff teams to come from one division, so the Saints will most likely have to pass up the Falcons in the division to have a chance at the playoffs. Tie-breaker scenarios that could come back to bite the Saints are the losses to Philly and Arizona, if neither of those teams win their divisions, they could be prime wild card contenders.

The hard truth is that unless the Saints find a way to play consistent defense, they are not even going to come close to the playoffs. The offense has steadily improved, they're not perfect by any means, but the offense seems to have found the spark that it was missing early in the season. The Saints can't win a shoot-out game every week, those types of games are toss ups. They were fortunate to beat the Giants, but it's hard to have that same good fortune multiple weeks in a row.

They have a tough matchup against Washington next week. The Redskins aren't a great team, but something tells me that it will be a hard fought game between two desperate teams. If the Saints can win and be 5-5 heading into their bye week, I think it will renew their playoff chances a good bit, but they really can only afford to lose one more game.

If Rob Ryan gets fired we may have a chance. Other than that, nope.

They still have a chance but with that defense it's highly unlikely! Right now I think we are 2 back of last spot which is the case for several teams. Would need to be 10-6 at worst to get in

Atlanta is collapsing in these last several weeks. If they lose two to Carolina and we beat them, that leaves the Saints room for one loss.

The Vikings or Green Bay will likely get the other wild card, unless Philly and New York both keep up with one another. Seattle/St. Louis are the other issues here too.

Didn't just about all the non-div leaders in the NFC lose yesterday with the exception of the Eagles?

It almost has the same feel as the division race last year.
