Keep politics out of football.

I keep seeing how disrespected the military must be. Considering our military is full of minorities I don’t think the outrage is a prevelant as you think.

I used to care about this but no longer. As Danaerys asked Jon Snow to bend the knee as a sign of submission, they can bend the knee all they want. Americans kneel to pray and propose, kneeling for the Anthem should be fine. It's an act of submission.
Kaepernick on the other hand, is an average QB whose lunatic GF is keeping him from getting a job. He was literally on his way to Baltimore to sign a contract when she tweeted out some meme with Ray Lewis taking on the Samuel L Jackson role in Django. Of course the deal was off at that point. So, they are protesting that he doesn't have a job on the "plantation". When someone tries to get him a job, they sabotage it. This is all a ruse and the only one that gets hurt in the end is Kaepernick. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Kaepernick's decision to opt out of his contract wasn't pushed by his commie gf.

The US population is about 63% white according to the 2010 US Census. The military ranges from 66-83% white, depending on the branch.
That being said, I take issue with anyone thinking that kneeling for the anthem will do anything other than cause more problems. If you want to fix the "police issue", this isn't it. It would take an effort on multiple fronts ranging from a culture shift in the black communities to the police, as a whole, finally holding bad cops accountable.

Of course it's not going to fix the issue. Protest are just meant to bring attention to things.

I'm not a fan of protesting btw.
I'm a firm believer that the way you change the world is by changing yourself.

I agree with your main point. This has now just turned into a pissing match with trump.

There is no such thing as freedom of speech in the workplace unless it is written in policy or under a union contract.
Folks get terminated for posting on social media away from work.
The issue is that as a fan I pay for entertainment not protest. I not interested in a player's polical views.
If players want to protest, do so but not on my $!

the NFL and its players, ESPN etc originally brought politics into sports, not Trump, boycott.

Is it actually on your dime? You own a team or a share of one?

Disrespecting our country isn't political. Not long ago democrats and Republicans agreed on that. No matter your views, don't shite on the country that allows you to have those views.

A lot of them say the same. Life above cloth.
Posted on 9/24/17 at 10:21 am to Patrick O Rly
So if you change yourself and no one else does, what does that do?
Posted on 9/24/17 at 10:25 am to tankyank13
And that same Jim Brown is saying bullshite now so why listen to him? Stop trying to police players if they've literally don4 nothing wrong.

LONDON — About two dozen players, including Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs and Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette, took a knee during the playing of the national anthem before the start of the teams' game at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
No players were kneeling during the playing of the British national anthem.
I have a MAJOR problem with this. In London NO ONE should be kneeling for our country's anthem. They should postpone their protest while in another county.
