My Point is most teams try to build through the draft but the Saints are not one of them. We obviously prefer the Free Agent Market over the Combine and NFL Draft

I'm willing to say that if this team ever learned how to draft consistently since 2006, we probably win another Super Bowl. We've had so many misses that even just a general average contribution from potential picks could have pushed us over the edge. We love FA's but when they either don't work out, suck, or get injured, we're screwed because we have barely any depth.

Most of those are udfas so they're technically were/are part of the draft process.

Most of what is shaping up to be the core was drafted with a pick

2011 (post Jordan/Ingram), 2012, and 2014 were the killer drafts.

2011: Wilson, Patrick (3rd), 4th -> traded for Matt Tennant (drafted '10 5th), 5th -> part of the jammal brown trade, 6th -> David Thomas

2012: Hicks, Toon, White, Tiller, Jones -> completely gone

2014: everyone after cooks

Where is your data to support this claim? Green Bay is constantly being mentioned as the only team that doesn't really participate in Free Agency because they try to exclusively build through the draft. Every other team builds through a combination of both. You can't make statements as fact without backing them up with evidence.

You couldn't have made that point without giving the board a collective migraine trying to read that?

I like our team. 1 more solid offseason and we could be legit.

Basic Foundation
QB Drew
RB Ingram
WR Cooks, Thomas, Snead
TE Fleener
OL Armstead, Unger, Peat

Good for now - Lelito, Strief, Hill
Sleeper Spiller
Upside Stash - Grayson, Lasco, Turner, Allen

Basic Foundation
DL Jordan, Rankins
LB Anthony
CB Breaux
S Vaccaro, Bell

Good for now - Fairley, Ellerbe, Lewis
Sleeper Byrd
Upside Stash - Kikaha, Onyemata, Tull, Williams

Offense has Top 5 written all over it and the D has to be better.

Fairley + Rankins > 35 year old Kevin Williams
PJ Williams > 2015 Browner
2016 Lewis > 2015 Lewis same can be applied for Byrd
2015 rookie class year 2 > year 1
