I'd bet the reason Payton is holding Deuce out is because they are about to trade him, possibly along with Brunell, to the Chiefs for a star defensive player.

we won't get a draft pick...since KC won't give up a high pick in any round.....but i'll take a RB, FS, or LB....or even a LG...didn't they draft a bunch of olinemen...i'm sure they got some veterans who they r trying to get rid of
