I heard this weekend Harrington was acquired because a team wants Brunell and that we would trade him for a defensive player.
Has anyone heard this? It might make sense because the chiefs and vikings are two teams that need QB's. Or do you think Payton just likes projects?

who in there right mind would trade for Brunell? There are other back-ups I would trade for before I'd go after Brunell.

I heard we got him because Drew is having minor shoulder problems again (trouble recovering) and he's here just in case.

Someone tried to trade for Brady Quinn during the weekend. I can't remember whom. But, however, that did in fact get me thinking about the Harrington signing and Brunell's impressive preseason. Just thinking...

Who would the Vikings or Cheifs trade for him. I'd rather trade Harrington...
I think SP realized we needed a third QB on the roster.

Who would KC trade? Maybe Patrick Surtain???

Who would Minn trade? Marcus McCauley or Michael Boulware? Besides Gus Ferotte is as good as Brunell and they have J.D. Booty waiting in the wings.

I don't want him on the Saints (and he's likely the reason we lost yesterday as that kind of loserism is infectious) but who wants Brunell either was my point.

Harrington could have been signed by anyone a few days ago. I doubt anyone wants to trade for him now.

I also can't imagine why someone would "trade" for a 15 year backup quarterback. The Chiefs are much more than a quarterback away from competing. They're not going to waste a draft pick or a young player for Brunell at this point in his career.

Jarrad Page?

He would be better than any FS we have.

There is so much wrong with this statement. Brunell was a starter until the end of the year last year for Washington and he was the starter for Jax until they got Leftwich.

&

Minn is a very good team with a Great O-line and RB. Decent talent at WR and a solid D. A QB makes them a very very good team. That's why GB didn't want Favre to go there.

Not by much, but I guess it's worth a try.

I'd trade Brunell for some O line help.
If you ask me that is the weakest part of our team and it gets hammered home every time we can't run for a damn yard.
We could be 3-0 if we could.

Don't tell me that. If that is the case, don't trade Brunell and leave us with Harrington.

That was 5 years ago.

No he wasn't. Campbell was the starter and Todd Collins was the backup. Brunell was 3rd string.

He had a nice season in 2005, but that was 3 seasons ago.
