Its a retarded analogy.
I'm not "letting" Brees be a spokesperson nor is any one other than Brees himself.
I'm not letting him bang my wife.
One is my choice and one isn't.
no it's not. it describes the obsurd fanaticism some of you show toward your idol

drew has built up an insane amount of goodwill, especially locally obviously. i wish that he wouldnt get involved in something as sketchy as this...we can all say "he doesnt need the money" but thats a personal choice for him
i'm not going to judge the man, he can do what he wants. it just seems like a shame to even begin to squander his well-earned reputation

I think you're going a little overboard
You ever thought that he is involved with the company b/c he really uses the products? They aren't bad products.
He's probably the biggest name from a long list of athletes, who like him, also endorse the products.

none of the MLM company products are bad products.
amway, melaleuca, advocare, etc...all of the stuff they sell is decent to excellent for its use
and these companies are obviously not illegal, but they are a scam to the morons who think they will get rich. its a dirty business, and if i showed up at your door or on your TV/computer/whatever trying to sell you on them, i would expect you to think less of me because of it
not any more complicated than that

True. Very few people ever leave their day job and make a living off of this stuff. I know of one guy, but he's way too pushy and I do think less of him.

Like I said, that one guy comes to mind.
However, there are lots of people (myself included) who have joined to company in the past to get the products at a discount b/c they actually use them.
I don't see what's the problem with Drew endorsing a company if he actually uses their product.
Sidenote: I have noticed that Advocare seems to be running more and more national ads (most are crappy btw). But I've yet to see them advertise anything other than the products. I don't think they're trying to sell a get-rich-quick scheme.

MLM isn't about selling products
it's about recruiting people to sell products
it's about recruiting people to sell products

That's true, if you're trying to push it as a business. I'm just saying that many do not.

It did not.
You do not.
You should learn what words mean and how to put them together in a cogent sentence

I didn't read it. It is multi level marketing. You don't sell the product to be successful, you become a recruiter to be successful. Their products are not bad, I just don't like the distribution method. Before some medical issues and I did cross fit 4-6 times a week I would use the product samples if they were free, but much better tasting products are on the market at a lower price from non name brand sources. I just have a bum organ and my recommended exorcises are "Walking" and "Swimming" or "Walking in the Swimming pool"... Lifting weights is way more fun for some reason.

Yes... people are stupid...

Haven't read the whole thread, but if there are actual products it is not a pyramid scheme.
The actual sale of products is the difference between Multi-level marketing and a pyramid and what makes it legal.
Most people don't care about the products of course and just want to build their downline with more people. They buy the minimum product to stay in compliance.
I don't understand though why someone as beloved and squeaky clean as DB would touch this. It's not illegal but this thread is a clear indication that it creates a tarnish.
