There wasn't anything easy about that throw especially since the corner had tight coverage.

He has to make that throw! He gets paid to make that throw. It should have been a td

There are going to be timing issues with Morgan until he stays healthy for a period of time.

I agree. No excuse for Drew not to have a 100% completion rate

I think his arm strenght and accuracy looks down at times, but sometimes touch is more utilized than strength. Must consider that. PMannings armstrength and spiral were way down last year and he managed to break all the records. So the moral of the story is, yes, get the receivers more open and the throws are more than good enough to get the job done.

The TD pick wasn't underthrown. Drew missed his spot, and said as much.

It was just a horrible decision to throw that ball at all. Cooks was covered like glue. No reason even consider that pass

His arm strength in 2012 was the best it has ever been.

He hit Morgan, in the rain and wind, 55 yards down field between 2 defenders against the giants.

I really don't think the arm strength is the issue at all.

Having familiar weapons live Henderson and Meachem is the issue.

Exactly. He didn't do that crap last year. Check down and kick the field goal if need be

I understand, but that wasn't a "timing" route as much as it was Drew not getting it out there far enough. Just watch closely when you see Brees doing the windup on long throws, he has to out it higher to get the same distance he used to get on farther throws.
It's not a knock on Brees, it's just reality and there's nothing he can do to increase strength at this point.
Well be fine if this is the only issue.
I'm on Colstins arse bad because he drops easy fricking catches. There is NO excuse for him.

If anything he looked great to me. The first ball Cooks caught looked like Drew had a little life on his fastball. Look, we just didn't win. Drew Brees is the last of my worries.

How dare he not complete every pass? Like I said, the passes to Meachem & Morgan were both thrown against good coverage. People fail to remember the other team's players gets paid to do their job too & sometimes those other players make good plays.

Drew did not look like a $20M QB on the td pick, out route to Jimmy causing a FG, and a ball to Joe Morgan, Meach, and a few others that were meh.

Trade him.

You judge arm strength by the sideline throws IMO. Drew is as good as anyone for making those throws.

He had the best deep ball of his year statistically last season. Led the NFL in touchdowns despite a lack of a true, consistent deep threat

it's not his arm strength. Its the accuracy. There's nothing wrong with his arm strength.

on a few of the throws he had to rush the throw. He didnt have the time he wanted.

I've seen it as well over the past couple of years. Hasn't been the same like in 2009 when he would always make perfect deep passes. He is still a great QB though but he is getting older so I think it is age and his shoulder which had surgery is starting to get a little weak. He is still one of the best in the business though

His arm strength has certainly declined over the years and anyone who wants to argue that is just being a homer.

It happens to QBs as they get older and it's not a knock on Brees. But he and Payton should be smarter in not forcing a deep ball just because they think it can be done.

Brees was essentially 0/3 on deep shots. Now all 3 times their corners were in excellent position but the ball should have been thrown ahead of the receiver so they could make a play.

He had 15 TDs : 2 INTs last year on deep passing

2nd most yards in the NFL
