My only objection to Bobby and Deke is they have trouble pronouncing certain words.

e.g.
Bobby: "tezhdahn" for "touchdown"
"Arr-brin" for "Auburn"

Deke: "add-leet" for "athlete"

who really gives a shite

sports talk these days is pretty bad locally and nationally. most of the time when you turn on sports radio you're dealing with bland hosts, hacks, or idiots like bobby and deke. the only thing i can't tolerate is bad play by play and we have one of the best in jim henderson.

It's also terrible. Way too much "morning zoo" like audio drops going on and they're still riding that Rebecca Black Friday joke, bitch is almost in college now.

I don't mind it. It's head and shoulders above wwl. They also get some decent guest to talk Saints as well.

Who else covering the Saints acts like he does? None, because they wouldn't have a job. Apparently being a former mediocre player who held out and played for the division rival gives you an infinite number of passes.

Sadly, he's the 3rd best Quarterback in Saints history, so he gets leeway.

Besides, I wouldn't trade some of Bobby's postgame tirades for the world (e.g., Saints v. Patriots 2009).

That postgame show alone forgives all venal sins for the rest of his lie, maybe even carnal.

Dude,

I'm totally with you. No love for Bobby here. He played like shite in the playoffs, held out, and we could have done a lot better. Hebert held us back so much.

Yep. And the year he held out, they had a legit chance to make a deep playoff run with the defense they had back then.

But I lost respect for him forever when he did the "Dirt Bird" dance in the dome after the Failcons won with him as their QB.

Even in the 12-4 season in '92, he threw 19 tds and 16 int.

"Nostalgia" is getting thrown around a lot on the GB, and I think Bobby, to a degree, in a beneficiary of that. He was a big part of the Saints finally becoming formidable, and considering how passing games were back then, he did have 2 really good years throwing the ball. But again, he threw a lot of picks and did benefit a lot from those top tier defenses.

Bobby was the QB when I became a Saints fan, and you can ask my brother, I was a maniac about it.

Just because he was better than the Billy Joe's doesn't mean he wasn't mediocre.

:raises hand:

In case you didn't know.

And yeah, he was annoying. In the fact that I was a big fan, but he went full tard when he jumped in. But he's the only one in my family that I can talk serious football with. My dad can, but it's usually a ethical analysis of every player's personal life (he's a preacher)

When I start trying to talk football with dad, I see him become gradually more winkled in his brow, and then he kind of shakes his head real quick and changes the subject.
