There was a video out that showed will smiths wife on the ground screaming on the drivers side of the car. So that's true

1)why, on Magazine street, in front of Juans Flying Burrito, do you think Hayes pulled off to the side of the road as if he was involved in a fender bender?

can't see actual contact dawg

quote:

2)why, after this, did Will Smith pull around the Hummer and speed off, running a red light in haste?

he thought he was purposefully trying to wreck him dawg

quote:

3)why, in your estimation, did Hayes follow Smith, and not only follow him, but ram the back of Smith's Mercedes with the front of his Humer?

to complete the hit dawg

I know you were trying to be sarcastic, but your first two responses are completely reasonable answers.

No disrespect, but it's hard to have an actual conversation with someone who is in Smith's corner until proven wrong.

Anyone who does this over a "possible" fender bender is crazy and out of control.

It's equally hard to have a conversation with someone that doesn't understand what a reasonable person is.

this lawyer is saying the H2 is a "military-type vehicle" and that the Hummer stopped for no reason when the video shows that there were cars in front of it.

Can you please link said video?

dude, come on. It's simple reasoning. The same reason all these dudes were wrong yesterday. This is a message board, not a courtroom. You dont need hard evidence to piece some things together.

what threat was the wife? Why didnt he finish her off? She was right fricking there. The dude called and waited for the cops instead. Tell me how the frick that makes sense to you

Unless Smith had a gun on him, he did get shot for no reason.

Just not the correct legal standard...Louisiana protects a citizen's right to use deadly force in the face of imminent danger. That's judged by the reasonable person standard.

What if they are arguing and Smith tells him he's getting his gun and leans back into the car? Are you required to wait until he turns to shoot you before you eliminate the threat? I don't know how that would shake out. If you were standing there with nowhere to flee while someone is quickly reaching for a loaded gun, is it unreasonable to fire first?

This is not as clear as some think it is

That's fair but doesn't mean murderer. I think we can all agree Hayes should get aggravated assault, right?

Complete innocence as to what?

He was the victim. We don't have to "prove his innocence".

Hayes has to prove his.

That's not how courts work in the USA...

Because sometimes angry people do things they regret. Do I think Smith is completely innocent, no, but not enough to get him killed if he didn't have the gun on him.

But do I think Hayes stayed on the scene because of witnesses and the ability to claim self defense after he realized what he had done, yes. He runs the story completely changes and any chance he has at self defense or any other possibility to get a lesser charge goes out the window.

Ontop of that, witnesses seeing it, recording it, and getting details of his car and him driving off he's a dead man walking.

You shouldn't be. The video doesn't show contact, I've seen plenty of people move out the way of erratic drivers and also done that myself.

As for LE's third question, there are plenty of example of people doing irrational things due to road rage.
