I know we signed Watson, but I thought we would be more active after Suh made his decision. Obviously there are still a lot of guys out there. It’s been quiet the last few days. Thoughts on who we might finish with before the draft?

I'm pretty sure we still sign Suh. That thread was too long for that signing to NOT be smoke and mirrors.

No this kind of happens every year. A lot of quality players fall through the cracks in FA and teams wait until after the draft and then scoop up decent players on 1 year deals.

Jordan Matthews or Meredith would be awesome.

There will be some cheap guys casual fans never heard of between the draft and minicamps.

Could see a WR, DT and/or o-line depth still in the works.

Agreed. Would be down for either of them with Meredith being my preference. Signing either of them would put us in good position to draft BPA.

With that 1st round pick, I can really see us targeting an OT/OG that falls due to a rush on skill players. It's not exciting, but with the way our line gets banged up, we need all the help we can get.

I really think this offense will hit the next level if we get Jordan Matthews. He had 3 straight seasons of no less than 800 yards most of which was in the slot when he was in Philly. Some injuries and a bad offense in Buffalo held him back last year but I really think he would shine here.

Matthews/Meredith and Hankins/Logan and I'd be very happy going into the draft

Not happening and never was going to happen. Payton basically said they aren't in the DT market (at least outside of a vet minimum depth player), and we're only after Suh because he's Suh.

But it's a damn good bet we snag at least one WR before the draft, if not two (especially if we lose Snead).

Pass rusher may be something we just miss out on again if there isn't a good deal out there like with Okafor last year.

WR and pass rusher addresses our last two musts Payton mentioned, and outside of maybe some vet minimum depth signings/picking up a FB we'll likely wait until after the draft to do anything else.

Thomas and Ginn did combine for over 2,000 yards.

Outside of that we clearly lacked a legit 3rd guy, but that's far from bone dry.

Yeah, you're right - Thomas is legit obviously. Ginn too but he is older.

We need a 3rd, 4th and 5th guy really. You could maybe sell me on Carr as one of those, but Snead absolutely should not be relied on.

It's interesting that Matthews is still on the market. I thought he would land somewhere pretty quickly.

TommyLee is a perfectly capable 4th or 5th guy imo. Is he still under contract?
