I hope Kikaha and Lattimore do not live on IR with him.

If that happens, then the Saints need to get a new medical staff to evaluate medical conditions of some of their picks prior to drafting them.

When did this stupid shite start being regurgitated?

I just searched the board, it started with hot Carl, who is dumb as frick. Then tigerbait1123 repeated him, followed by this guy.

I wonder what the other position he is between even is.

A 4-3 and 3-4 MLB. He's a 2 down MLB at the NFL level in a normal 4-3 defense. He hasn't shown the coverage skills to be a 3 down linebacker at this level yet.

He can stay on the field more with his size as a 3-4 ILB. He's enormous and will be great against the run. Great instincts, and should excel going forward.

It's literally the reason he wasn't considered a first rounder before his injury despite his high level of play

it's also something that Beckwith himself has admitted he needs to lose weight and get faster for

Beckwith, compared to former Saints players:

Vaughn Johnson of the Dome Patrol. Big, brutal 3-4 inside backer, that will punish backs.

He is NOT Vilma, he's not chasing a TE in coverage down the field. Zone might.

I think the fact they missed in Foster is probably the reason they traded up to get Kamara. Obviously Payton liked him and wasn't going to miss a second time because he didn't make a move.

I'm still shocked Seattle traded WITHIN their division to allow SF to come up and get Foster.

That is puzzling.

Its obvious they didnt feel he was worth being on their roster. Pittsburgh is notorious for having a great defense. They needed an OLB and ILB and took Watts over Foster. 30 teams in the NFL passed on him. If Seattle was worried at all they never make the trade and allow us to get him. Im thinking they did us a favor.

Sitting on your hands for Foster to fall to you while trading a 2nd to grab a RB is the Payton draft era in a nutshell.

After watching highlights, Anzalone is impressive both against the run and blitzing. He could actually be a good player and was probably a 2nd round talent but because of injuries he fell.

Having said that, I'm still hesitant he can stay healthy. If he can, which I doubt, he could actually get some playing time. Not a lot, but some. He's athletic enough to be able to improve in coverage if he works and could actually turn into a starting LB for us one day. But I just think with his injury history, he isn't going to last long.

Probably another wasted pick

A shoulder injury and a broken arm is not like 2 torn ACLs. Its not out of the realm of possibility that he could stay healthy. He has a much better chance than Kikaha.

I hope you're right. Because the talent is there. He might not be a Ray Lewis or Urlacher but he can be a solid starting LB for years.

If he stays out of the medical room

Assuming for Foster

He has Stephon Anthony but with character issues written all over him.
