Anyone have a link to Henderson's call on the final play?

I'd almost rather listen to a 911 death call.

I walked out the room before Diggs even got to the endzone.

Haven't heard it yet and I have no desire to change that. I'd rather listen to rap.

“It’s bad. It’s baaad. Pigs don’t fly. Hell won’t freeze over. The Saints are Fukin going back to David Drive”.

I think that’s what I heard.

I listened to it live and he and deuce seemed just as shocked as everyone was watching the tv broadcast. They immediately both went on to describe how easy of a play Williams could have made instead of the play he attempted to make. At one point Deuce alluded to rookie awareness in the playoffs at the biggest spot in the game.

Thank you for summarizing. I was curious enough to want to know what was said but not enough to actually listen to it. Now, I don't have to put myself through that.

I'm sad to say that Henderson seems to have finally lost it.

He's shown a lack of enthusiasm throughout the year on big plays. And, while that play was anything but positive, Henderson's call was very subdued...certainly not representative of the importance.

Henderson gets to stay as long as he wants to. But, I'm afraid father time has finally caught up.

Well I gave it a listen. I think it's an important part of the healing process. Akin to digging up your deceased parent to say goodbye one last time.

I think Henderson has become content. In 2009 he was nearly crying after Hartley kicked the game winner against the Vikings. He was ecstatic during the Tracy Porter int to seal the SB victory. Winning that Superbowl makes playoff losses a little easier to swallow. Plus 2009 just had that feeling we were gonna win it all. Matter of fact I think Henderson predicted the saints would win the SB that preseason. I just didn't have that feeling about the team this year especially after all the injuries they sustained during the season.

I kept thinking the same thing to myself whenever I heard his calls this season. He's still excellent at describing what's happening but it seems as though all of the excitement has just gone out of him. I hate to say that because I've always liked the guy and frankly, I can't believe that he's still in New Orleans 40 years after arriving. I kept waiting for a bigger market or a network to grab him.

He has not only lost every single ounce of enthusiasm for the Saints that he once had, he has lost enthusiasm for play by play in general.

I listened to most of the Panthers playoff game b/c I was driving to Detroit, and he would literally never spot the ball. It was Jim Hawthorne-esque (you could never be as bad as late Hawthorne, but Hendo is getting fairly close).

Never says "driving right to left" to give you a visual, rarely recaps "2nd and 3" before the start of a play, but instead leaves you to gather the down and distance from his initial impression of the yards gained on the previous play.

Deuce is mediocre to put it gently, and Deuce is a better asset in the booth than Jim is now.

I can't believe I'm typing all of this, because I would have fought you to the death in 2008 if you had told me that Jim Henderson was not a top 5 NFL radio guy.

He’s actually very restrained. Ii was expecting him to lose it. Mascona played 2 different Vikings broadcasts of the play and ruined my day. Why the frick would you play that on a local radio show
