Nobody wants him fired. But the criticisms against him expressed today have been noted since at least 2007. This isn't the first time people have been frustrated with this shite.

his unwillingness to run the ball when it is working so well to the point that he saw Brees audible into a run on that last 3rd down and called a timeout to prevent him from RUNNING the play which would have been converted into a first down.
CSP called a time out because he thought the play clock was going to run down. It had noting to do with try to prevent them from running. Try not to be stupid.

Actually now that I think about it what people are bitching about today is the same shite that frustrated people in the 2006 NFC title game when he decided to play Tecmo Bowl in Siberian conditions.

It's not new.

Great point if you look at the game cast of the championship game we were down by a single possession and deuce McAllister and I think Carney had just rattled off three rushes for like 25 yards into bears territory. I don't think we ran again the rest of the game

Except that it didn't run down...and thus was a wasted time out. Try not to be stupid yourself

But the poster said it was because he was trying to prevent the team from running the ball on that play, which is stupid.

Now eat a bag of dicks shite stain.

I remember the 70s and I am forever grateful for Payton and I don't want him to leave as long as he wants to stay. But Goddamn he goes full retard sometimes. For every "Ambush" you have 5 or 6 "Reggie Bush fumbles the reverse handoff to Devery Henderson while we're trying to run out the clock against the Bucs."

Ok drew recognized the defense and audibled into a play that would work. Sean Payton wanted to throw the ball because he's hard headed .... now the original play was probably a pass too,....get it "audible" play Sean didn't call....stupid Jack arse

His lack of smart play calling in the forth quarter of games is something he has done for a long time. I think he is working with a aging QB with decreasing skill set with below average WR.

At least in the past when we didn't run the ball (and we should have), the running game wasn't looking good or even serviceable... It could be a little more justified in fans minds. The running game looked GREAT today. there is no excuse for not running it. There is no one to blame except Payton.

No, because the fans are spoiled. Let a couple of losses happen and they're faced with the question of whether the team is positioned to go 19-0 like so many of them expect. They have to lash out and the coach is a prime target.

We're spoiled because we're winning, but to say that the playcalling is bad is true in every way.

Ingram is our leading rusher through 2 games:
24 carries
143 yards
5.96 ypc
3 TDs

4 receptions
22 yards

fyi, projected Ingram for the year at this rate:
192 carries
1144 yards

He has the most carries and yards, but yet we throw the ball ~80 times in two games when the run game is WORKING.

The run game isn't getting pulverized like last year when our RBs were meeting a DL in the backfield. We CAN and should run the ball. The passing game CAN feed off of the running game, but what defense will care about the running game when we never stick to it. Ingram breaks off for a decent 5-8yard run and he's taken out right away and we throw the next play. Every single time.
