Soft zone off man bullshite. shite arse rush schemes where we rush three or blitz with one CB. LBs not clean to make run stops.

Allen truly took over this defense last year but Ryan took the fall for it.

It's time to admit the truth and can Allen.

And Payton needs to cut the TO candy bullshite and super conservative play calling with a lead.

Too late. Payton has surrounded himself with too many coaches who don't pull their weight.

The raiders barely had enough guys to piece together an offensive line and we couldn't get near carr. Jordan and Kruger couldn't get by a tackling dummy

lol

This is quite literally the case with our entire idiotic succession of DCs. Throw one guy under the bus to anoint the next guy. Repeat the cycle over and over over...

Everybody gets blamed, and fired, for a decade-plus of embarrassing defense...except the guys picking the players...and their buddies/position coaches who also have Belichick-level job security.

Don't give a shite but clear the whole defensive and special teams staff (minus Aaron Glenn).

Give play calling on offense to Baby Face full time.

They consistently choke games on defense at the end. Unless offense has a lead that's out of reach in the 4th you can bet the defense will shite the bed for us. He hasn't learned that zone prevents doesn't prevent diddly dick. All last year teams abused us in the 4th and yes, that was Allen's defense all year. He's on pace to break his shittiest defense ever record this year.

Why do we even spend money on defense? I'd rather us just put every penny we have on offense so we score every single drive and last team with ball wins.

This was the most disappointing factor when it came to late in the game. I was observing both and they couldn't do shite.

Maybe the Browns fans were right about Kruger.

Kruger was near the top of the league in pressures last year. We know Jordan can dominate.

Maybe we finally 100% admit it isn't the players but the staff.

Guys on defense leave and do well elsewhere or do well before coming here. It isn't the players (well maybe the rookies but give them time).

Like look at KV going off script and balling out. Had he stayed on point he doesn't make those plays.

Clear them (coaches) the frick out.

I don't think Vitt has ever developed a LB from a draft since he has been here on the Saints staff. Anthony was barely on the field today.

At some point it's the players

When the players constantly change and have done better elsewhere, and the coaches have stayed the same, I have a REALLY hard time blaming the players.

Players have come and gone. Loomis/Payton/their buddies, and AWFUL play are the constants on defense.

Its like waiting for Miles to start running Chip Kelly's offense.

The defense will suck as long as those guys are in charge. A decade+ is enough evidence.

I joined TD to talk Saints, and part of the reason i almost never post here anymore is because we've been debating the same shite for 10 years. Pleading with this organization to put a defense on the field that isn't an embarrassment to football becomes demoralizing.

game basically swung on that 75 yard run by Raiders for the TD.

up until then the run D had been better.

still giving up too many big plays but that's gonna happen when your pass rush isn't all that good plus youth at corner.

I mean, he has hammered dog shite in terms of talent to work with.

His corners are ken crawley and pj williams. Think about that for a second.

No sacks, interceptions, or forced fumbles, and blew a 14 point fourth quarter lead. Same ole Saints.
