In 2009 AD had 43 catches for 436 yards (more than Ingram has ever had) and averages more yards receiving per season than mark ingram.

So if AD is average, Ingram is below average. The whole AD can't catch thing is a myth that is solidified by not having QB's that know how to run a respectable offense

Don't forget about Kamara. So it might be a triple system.

Honestly I don't know why some people are arguing about this. Both of our best rushing offenses (09&11) used multiple RBs.

When it gets closer to the season i hope we see less and less of it. Too much potential for both to be getting bent out of shape over this.

Did you watch Peterson those years? He's not natural at it and bobbles the ball a lot, a lot were also dump off passes and not designed plays. Pass protection is also a big weakness of his.

Ingram isn't as fluid as Thomas or sproles, but he's natural at it.. As to why people question why cadet stole tike

Agreed. Who cares who gets the most carries? Keep em fresh and the defense off balance at the same time. Kamara could be unbelievable in this offense.

Has nothing to do with having something to prove. MI will get Starter's touches, AD will not. That's all, not hard to understand

I see them getting pretty close to 50/50 which is what we should be doing to help Brees late in his career and help the defense out anyway. Hopefully there will be 400+carries between the two of them. We will likely have won many games.

Agreed.

We need all 3 to stay healthy and excell in their roles for the team to reach its max potential.

I don't give a shite about the individual players name.
They are all part of The New Orleans Saints.
As a Saints fan and not a fantasy league player I care more about how the team does as a whole than any one player.

Choosing one player over another when they can both make the Saints a better team is an exercise in stupidity.

Go Saints

Stick to the hype threads. You're not good at these.

No it's really you ingram fans that create controversy

Nobody wants to see MI fail, AD is just that good we'd be fools not run him. Nobody goes into a game saying we have to stop mark ingram

The threat of Brees is what they worry about and that's what helped him. Now with peterson teams must sell out if he gets it going, he fast while ingram is slow. One missed assignment,a full head of steam and he can take it to the house at anytime. AD just being om the field is a upgrade you have to gamplan for him.

Ill take that wager.

Mark Ingram has finally become an above average RB.

AD is literally a once in a lifetime talent.

AD has more carries, YPC, and TD in my opinion, --unless he gets hurt.

We can't have a fair discussion about this until we actually see what AD we are getting. But if I'm betting, Ingram has more carries and YPC.

Nope....i still maintain my stance. The fact that you think AD gets more actually makes me feel much better about that.

The saints have a hell of alot more respect for Mark than some of the fans do.

its not totally out of the realm of possibility. Ingram has missed a few games here and there because of injuries.

in the six years that he's been with the Saints there have been only two where he played a full sixteen games.

now.. yeah.. Peterson is older and has more tread on the tires but that doesn't mean anything in my opinion.

weird shite happens.

For Peterson to even be on the Saints in the first place is still hard to wrap my head around.

I agree that Mark is a solid back. I think most people do to but he's such an easy target. When he does mess up its easier to pick fun at him as a way of dealing with the frustration.

I remember typing CUT THE MOTHER frickER off the team in the game thread of the Seattle game. You know when he fumbled and they ran it back for a TD.. I wasn't serious. I was mad and game threads are perfect for emotional reactions like that.

It's weird man because i'm not even that big of a Ingram fan. I just think he's fine for what we do. Some of these mother frickers just make me want to argue lol.

Take 2 injury prone backs and make them into 1 guy that can make it through the year. I like this set up.

I actually want to see a little bit of Lasco thrown in as well just to see if he can play or not
