At least we know he will be able to contribute. Kids a nice player and a good fit with our offense.

I don't hate the pick. I hope Kirkland and L. Turner go undrafted and we sign them as UDFA.

But then ago, what do I know.

I like our draft though. Three really good players, one gamble in the 6th round on a guy with good potential.

If a person bitches about a 7th round draft pick, its unequivocal proof that they have the desire to bitch about literally anything.

you know they like him if they drafted him, considering our history with UDFA RBs

if that is one position Payton & Co have been great at scouting, its RB

Yeah getting Turner as an UDFA would be huge. Hopefully Wright too.

We need more true LBs with only five on the roster.

Too bad he was hurt last year.

He tore it up in 2014 though. Great combine numbers.

Plus. He's big as frick and ran one of the fastest 40
Times at the combine

What he does best:
• Has an impressive jump cut and is able to string together moves downfield
• Quick acceleration out of cuts and sufficient top speed to outrun pursuing defenders
• Often utilizes his free arm well for effective stiff arms and pushing defenders past when cutting back
• Above-average pass blocker. Allowed just three pressures on 154 snaps in pass protection over the last two years. Ranked in the top 10 in the nation with a 98.7 pass blocking efficiency in 2014

Biggest concerns:
• Total production was way down in 2015 due to missing time with injuries. Per snap/attempt production was generally only slightly lower depending on the area, but he still looked like a different player. Did he just have bad luck with injuries last year, or is there something more concerning?
• Can make defenders miss and break arm tackles, but he doesn’t gain many yards through final contact. Averaged 2.6 and 2.8 yards after contact over the past two seasons
• Dropped six of 42 catchable passes over the last two years

Bottom line: Lasco had an impressive 2014 campaign and was a highly productive runner. But injuries hindered him last season and he looked like a different player much of the time. Still, he finished the season well as the highest-graded offensive player in the Shrine Bowl and performed well at the NFL combine in February. He’s very athletic and has quick moves at the second level. He’s shown some ability as a receiver out of the backfield but drops have been an issue. If he continues to be as good of a pass blocker in the NFL, it might help him get some more playing time early.

Who was the running back from Ohio st. That we took in the 4th round several years ago? We cut him and Pierre Thomas fell into our lap.
