Dude Holiday is not overrated. Is he more of a 3rd option than second? Yes, but we didn't plan on that when we brought him in.

His PER was 19.7 last year. And that's on a minutes restriction. Good for 11th among starting point guards. And his per 36 numbers are better than every one except 5 guys:Curry Westbrook harden Paul and Reggie Jackson.

Chris Paul even said he's the most underrated guard in the league. He just can't stay healthy because Monty brought him back too quick.

For him to come back from an injury that bad and to play the way he did he's freakin good.

Remember when Gstate signed iggy to the big deal, even tho he ended up being a bench guy for state to make the big jump something can be said for just adding good players. Even if we end up getting a better guy to replace him next year in the draft or free agency

Fair guess.

I'll go with 42-40. Optimism!

How far we go depends on Hield's transition to the league. If his skillset transitions from day 1, we are a 50 win team. If he struggles like a McCollum during his first season, we'll probably hover around .500.

This team has definitely gotten better. If, and that is a Mount Everest sized IF, this team stays healthy we are easily a playoff team.

People who don't think Jrue is good are just straight up dumb.... that's really all that needs to be said.

I dunno.

GS, OKC, SA, LAC, POR are basically locks. Minny will absolutely be better. Utah will be competitive. Houston will be competitive. Dallas could be competitive. It's gonna be tough. If Hield is as NBA ready as we all hope, then yes I can see it. Also depends on AD not having so many freakish minor injuries.

Never said he wasn't good he is just not a build around piece like we treat him as.

He is good but I don't think he's a guy you say he is in our core and important regardless of injury issues.

So he puts up per 36 numbers that only 5 guards in the league bested and that's not "core player" material to you?

Per 36 aren't real numbers if they were Alexis would be out starting center.

They get realer when you play closer to 36 minutes a game.

The West is just a grind house. Not on that list is Memphis, if we're playing the "can stay healthy card" their starting five is almost as good as any.

The only team that is guaranteed to suck is the Kings. Maybe Suns. Lakers should be bad too. I wonder with promising talent in Warren and Booker and a savvy pg in Bledsoe, if they can hover around .500 until teams start jockeying for playoff position. They could easily suck though.

More realistic for a guy playing 28 MPG who plays good defense.
The biggest difference between last year and the first 2 years here is he took the most FGA last year while playing the least MPG. His per 36 in terms of PPG is higher, but his FG% has stayed steady/improved as the years gone by.

Ajinca on the other hand plays 14MPG puts up a damn good PER36, but he can't play consistent defense and puts up close to 6 fouls per 36 minutes.

One is reasonably translatable while the other isn't.
