We’ll likely lose in 5 or 6 to either OKC or Denver, but we at least has a punchers shot against OKC. We have zero shot of beating Denver.

inB4 “lol we’ll lose both play-in games”

Yeah at this point just win and enjoy a first round series. Honestly dont have liberty to choose.

Not sure it really matters

It's varying degrees of extraordinarily tiny chances of winning.

I don’t think either the Pels or lakers want anything to do with the nuggs

Will be interesting to see how the game plays out Tuesday.

Both I think matchup better again OKC.

It wont matter

This team is soft.

The HC sucks and the players are a bunch of losers.

Sure, 8 seed is better but you can't play for that, you gotta try to win.

Also, we aren't beating OKC either so the point is irrelevant. Trying to consider the very tiny chance of winning in round 1 against one team vs the other very tiny chance but maybe not quite as tiny against the other team really isn't worth the trouble to go through.

I’d rather fire Willie and start over

Off topic but I think it's be fun if after the 7-8 game that the 1 seed could select which of the two play-in teams to play. There are going to be years where the 7th place team is much better than 8-10 but the 7th place team loses the first but wins the second game and puts the 1 seed in a worse matchup.

Looked further into it.

A route that consists of

1st RD OKC
2nd RD Clippers

Sounds like that would be something that would benefit the Lakers dramatically… you would have to think they push for that outcome right? Easy young bunch with no experience…. Then get to play a 7 game series at home essentially… no travel, the most ideal situation.

So look for the Pels to win Tuesday

So, they’re canceling the season and playoffs after the next two games?

Maybe I’m weird, but I intend to enjoy watching the Pelicans compete, win or lose.

I hope that happens.

I would love to watch some Luka Magic further and further into the playoffs.

Imagine Luka v Joker in a WCF.... the ratings would be so poor

But it would be great basketball.

If they Pels drop the the 8th seed play-in game, it's almost assumingly they'll get bounced by the Warriors.

But hey, maybe they'll have some off-season changes because of it.

If the Pels get bounced in the play-in you have to make some big changes in the off-season. This is about as healthy as you can expect this roster to be for a season, where Zion, BI, and CJ averaged about 67 games played each.
